Use the configuration menu and operate the buttons on the front panel to format the medium, set the calendar/clock, and update the firmware. The clock can be set either by using the controls on the DN-V750/V755 or by serial control in native mode. For instructions on serial control, see the “11 SERIAL REMOTE”. 2 Setting the date and time using the controls on the DN-V750/V755 At the settings menu screen, press the “PLAY/PAUSE” button to display the date and time setting screen. At the configuration menu, press the “PLAY/PAUSE” button.
ENGLISH 2 Automatic setting by SNTP When making the settings while connected by LAN to an NTP server, “auto set by SNTP” is displayed in step 2 of the previous section. NOTE: A super capacitor is used to keep the DN-V750/V755’s internal clock running even when the power is turned off.

ENGLISH 11 SERIAL REMOTE The serial remote terminal on the DN-V750/V755’s rear panel can be used to connect the terminal software of a computer, etc., allowing a wide variety of control possibilities through serial remote control. The terminal is compatible with RS-232C standards.
ENGLISH 2 Command transmission and reply message When the DN-V750/V755 receives a command and completes the instructed task or when an error occurs, the DN-V750/V755 returns a reply message to the controller. There are three types of reply messages: • Task completed message [R] indicating that the task has been completed normally • Status message in reply to a status request command • Error message [E**] indicating that an error has occurred.
ENGLISH 2 Warning messages If for any reason the task was not completed normally after a command was received from the controller, the DN-V750/V755 sends the controller an error code. The error code consists of an [E] followed by a 2-digit error number. In the native mode, the [PLAY] and [STOP] LEDs on the front panel flash. If you want detailed information on the error after an error command is sent, it is possible to receive confirmation of the warning message using the [?E] serial command.

ENGLISH 13 PLAYING SCRIPT FILES With the DN-V750/V755, when in the native mode, programs can be played at will using files that include unique script commands. These operating instructions only include a general description of the script commands. For details of the individual commands, consult your store of purchase. 2 Script file names Script file names have the following format “File name with a maximum of 8 ASCII code characters” + “DSC”. Files are stored in the “SCRIPT” directory.

ENGLISH • Status OSD on/off control The status OSD display mode is set when the power is turned on with MODE selector switch 3 on the rear panel set to the “OFF” position. If set to the “ON” position when the power is turned on, the status OSD is not displayed. STATUS INFOMATION • Status display The status display indicates the status with respect to operation of the front panel buttons and operation from the parallel remote controller. The status display has priority over the user OSD display.
ENGLISH LD Compatible Mode The DN-V750/V755’s on-screen display function makes it possible to superimpose a character display on the picture. There are two basic types of OSD displays, as follows: • Status display : Displays the status with respect to operation of the buttons on the front panel. The status with respect to operations performed with serial remote commands is not displayed. • User OSD : Users can write any character strings they want on the OSD. This is done using serial remote commands.
