Local building codes vary and could supersede those suggestions. If you are not confident in your ability to perform these tasks, contract out those tasks you need help with or use a professional installer. DO NOT use drywall screws to secure flanges to wall studs. Product damage will occur and will void the warranty.

ROUGHING-IN Rough plumbing and bathtub must be installed before panel installation. For masonry construction, floor and walls must be framed to accommodate plumbing and installation. 1 2 A. x x y y Dry Fit Walls A. Prepare for Plumbing Fixtures Place drop cloth in base to protect surface while installing walls. Measure and mark location for plumbing fixtures. Place the back wall and side walls into the pocket. Using proper size hole saw, cut out plumbing fixture holes. Check alignment of walls and gaps at seams. Large uneven gaps are a sign of out-ofplumb walls or an un-level tub or base. Check if the base is level.

Apply Fire Retardant Pad Install Back Wood Supports Remove backing from self-adhesive pad (1). Install horizontal, B67414-6032-WH: 57” or B67414-4834-WH: 45” long 1x3’s on back stud wall as shown. Use 1-1/4" screws to attach to studs. Install sistered studs if needed.
4 5 A. 1 2 Prepare Back Panel A. Position back panel as shown, leaving an even gap on both sides of back panel. Apply double sided tape and polymer sealant/adhesive as shown. Sealant beads should be 3/16” to 1/4” thick. Tape pieces should be approximately 2” long. Drill 3/16" holes at all stud locations on top flange (1) and screw groove (2). ! Drill 3/16" clearance holes into flanges only. Do not drill 3/16" holes directly into studs. Drill chuck can damage panel.

Install Back Panel Install Side Wood Supports Press back panel in place. Install horizontal, B6741406032-WH: 28 1/2” or B67414-4834-WH: 30 1/2” long 1x3’s on side stud walls as shown. Use 1-1/4" screws to attach to studs. Holes may need to be cut in boards to accommondate plumbing.
7 A. B. 1 4 2 3 A. Apply Adhesive for Side Panels B. Install Side Panels Working with one side at a time, apply double sided tape and polymer sealant/adhesive as shown. Slide the side panel into gap between wall and back panel, pressing firmly into corner and against studs. Sealant beads should be 3/16” to 1/4” thick. Tape pieces should be approximately 2” long. Secure top (1), screw groove (2), and side flanges (3) to studs with 1-1/4" panhead or roundhead screws.
8 9 A. 2 1 Brace Wall Panels A. Install temporary braces (1) to hold back panel tight against studs while polymer sealant cures. Protect surface of wall and base (2) where it will contact braces. Prepare for Tile Plan your tile layout so that cut tiles are even at the ends of the tile inlay on the back wall. Start the front of the side wall inlay with full tiles. IMPORTANT: Leave in place for 24 hours.
9 10 B. Apply Polymer Sealant B. Install Tile Using a 3/16" V-notch trowel, spread out the sealant. If using tile smaller than 1" wide, be careful not to press the tile down into the screw groove. (Detail view) Use tile spacers to keep grout lines consistent and to prevent tiles from sagging while the sealant cures. Apply polymer sealant to all seams. NOTE: Silicone or acrylic latex sealant is not recommended. Use an advanced kitchen and bath polymer sealant for best results.
CARE AND CLEANING We recommend that you clean your acrylic bathing product with mild detergents. Use a terry cloth towel, soft cloth, or sponge. Avoid using abrasive scrubbing pads, steel wool, or sponges. After cleaning, rinse thoroughly with water. NOTICE: When using drain cleaner or clog remover, rinse thoroughly with water. NOTICE: Certain chemicals and cleaners may deteriorate the acrylic surface, causing cracks and, potentially, property damage.
LIMITED WARRANTY All All parts and finishes of the Delta® Tub Shower unit are warranted to the original consumer purchaser to be free from defects in material and workmanship for the time periods listed below. Delta recommends using a professional plumber for all installation and repair.
