Using the machine with respect and caution will considerably lessen the possibility of personal injury. However, if normal safety precautions are overlooked or ignored, personal injury to the operator may result.
ADDITIONAL SAFETY RULES FOR SCROLL SAWS 1. WARNING: Do not operate your tool until it is completely assembled and installed according to the instructions. 19. DO NOT feed the material too fast while cutting. Only feed the material fast enough so that the blade will cut. 2. IF YOU ARE NOT thoroughly familiar with the operation of Scroll Saws, obtain advice from your supervisor, instructor or other qualified person. 20. NEVER start the tool with the stock pressed against the blade. 21.
CONNECTING TOOL TO POWER SOURCE POWER CONNECTIONS A separate electrical circuit should be used for your tools. This circuit should not be less than #12 wire and should be protected with a 20 Amp time lag fuse. If an extension cord is used, use only 3-wire extension cords which have 3-prong grounding type plugs and 3-pole receptacles which accept the tool’s plug.
EXTENSION CORDS MINIMUM GAUGE EXTENSION CORD RECOMMENDED SIZES FOR USE WITH STATIONARY ELECTRIC TOOLS Ampere Rating 0-6 0-6 0-6 0-6 6-10 6-10 6-10 6-10 10-12 10-12 10-12 10-12 12-16 12-16 12-16 Use proper extension cords. Make sure your extension cord is in good condition and is a 3-wire extension cord which has a 3-prong grounding type plug and a 3-pole receptacle which will accept the tool’s plug. When using an extension cord, be sure to use one heavy enough to carry the current of the saw.
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS D WARNING: THE USE OF ACCESSORIES OR ATTACHMENTS NOT RECOMMENDED BY DELTA MAY RESULT IN RISK OF INJURY. K WARNING: TO AVOID INJURY FROM ACCIDENTAL STARTING, ALWAYS TURN SWITCH “OFF” AND REMOVE POWER CORD FROM ELECTRICAL OUTLET BEFORE REMOVING OR REPLACING BLADE. L M N 1. Remove the blade from the upper blade holder. (See the section “CHANGING BLADES”, begin with instruction #3). Fig. 5 2. Loosen lock handle (K) Fig.
