Problem:
IamhavingdifficultysettingupWi-FiProtectedAccess(WPA)
securityonaBelkinWirelessRouter(orBelkinAccessPoint)fora
homenetwork.
Solution:
1.
Fromthe“SecurityMode”drop-downmenu,select“WPA-PSK
(noserver)”.
2.
For“EncryptionTechnique”,select“TKIP”or“AES”.Thissetting
willhavetobeidenticalontheclientsthatyousetup.
3.
Enteryourpre-sharedkey.Thiscanbefromeightto63
charactersandcanbeletters,numbers,symbols,orspaces.
Thissamekeymustbeusedonalloftheclientsthatyousetup.
Forexample,yourPSKmightbesomethinglike:“Smithfamily
networkkey”.
4.
Click“ApplyChanges”tofinish.Youmustnowsetallclientsto
matchthesesettings.
Problem:

Solution:
ClientsmustusethesamekeythattheWirelessRouter(orAccess
Point)uses.Forinstance,ifthekeyis“SmithFamilyNetworkKey”
intheWirelessRouter(orAccessPoint),theclientsmustalsouse
thatsamekey.

Double-clicktheSignalIndicatoricontobringupthe“Wireless
Network”screen.The“Advanced”buttonwillallowyoutoview
andconfiguremoreoptionsofyourCard.
2.
Oncethe“Advanced”buttonisclicked,theBelkinWireless
Utilitywillappear.ThisUtilitywillallowyoutomanageallthe
advancedfeaturesoftheBelkinWirelessCard.
3.
Underthe“WirelessNetworkProperties”tab,selecta
networknamefromthe“Availablenetworks”listandclickthe
“Properties”button.
4.
Under“NetworkAuthentication”,select“WPA-PSK(noserver).
5.
TypeyourWPAkeyinthe“Networkkey”box.
