For information about how to enable HDX Adaptive Transport, see the Dell Wyse ThinOS Version 9.1 Administrator's Guide at www.dell.com/support. HDX Adaptive Display V2 ThinOS supports the selective use of a video codec (H.264) to compress graphics during video playback in an ICA session. This feature combines the H.264 mode and Thinwire Compatible mode for a better user experience. For more information about HDX Adaptive Display V2, see the Citrix documentation at docs.citrix.com.
Workspace mode The Workspace mode is a newly launched style that works on the classic mode of the ThinOS device. It enables you to customize the look and feel of your ThinOS to match the Citrix Workspace-based layout of published applications and desktops. Workspace Mode displays both the ThinOS taskbar and the Workspace desktop. To enable the Workspace Mode option on Admin Policy Tool or Wyse Management Suite, do the following: 1.
● Specific Keyboard Limitations—Citrix Workspace app Linux keyboard sync mode does not support switching the layout in VDA. Keyboard output follows the client Linux keyboard layout and, not the Windows layout. If you are switching the keyboard layout in VDA, you must select Keyboard Layout Mode as Server Default.
FIPS-140-2 mode Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) is developed by the National Institute of Standards and Technology. These standards are publicly announced standards and are developed for using in computers by nonmilitary American government agencies and government contractors. ThinOS 9.1 can perform cryptographic operations using FIPS (Federal Information Processing Standard) 140-2 compliant algorithms.
● If you change the mouse pointer size to a number greater than 3 in a Blast session, you must use Ctrl+Alt to exit the session and view the floating bar on the ThinOS modern desktop. ● Camera redirection support is limited. A blank screen is displayed. This issue is due to VMware Horizon limitation. ● USB disk mapping is not supported by VMware Horizon on ThinOS 9.1. ● Video performance is poor since Multimedia redirection (MMR) is not supported on ThinOS 9.1.
