Software releases are created to correct defects, make enhancements, or add new features. These releases are tested on all current,

actively shipping platforms and operating systems, as applicable. This release notes contain details on the supported platforms, any

changes in the configuration settings and licensing details as well. The bug fixes along with the workarounds are documented in the

release notes. Any changes in the feature functionality from an end-user perspective are listed with the description of each feature at a

high level.

Release overview PColP

The zero client firmware is applicable for Tera2 zero client only. This document provides a summary of upgrade scenarios, new feature,

compatibility notes, and upgrade paths for Dell Wyse PCoiP firmware release 5.4.1

For WDM:

• WDM v5.7.2 and v5.7.1 supports 4.x, 5.2.2 and 5.4.1 firmware versions.

• Earlier versions of WDM support only 4.x. If you are using earlier versions of WDM, then upgrade the WDM to version 5.7.1 and

proceed with the firmware update.

For Teradici console:

• PColP management console 2.x cannot detect or manage devices on firmware versions earlier than version 5.0. If you need to upgrade

from firmware 4.x, then either the zero client AWI or PColP management console 1.10.3-1.10.7 must be used to upgrade the zero client

to firmware 5.x.

• Zero clients on firmware 5.x can only be managed by PColP management console 2.0 or later. PColP management console 1.x cannot

detect or manage devices on firmware 5.x.

Supported platforms

This release supports the following platforms:

• Dell Wyse 5030 zero client for VMware and AWS.

• Dell Wyse 5050 AIO thin client.

• Dell Wyse 7030 zero client for VMware and AWS.

Upgrade scenarios

1. Upgrade Teradici firmware using WDM 5.7.1 or 5.7.2.

Zero client connectivity to Amazon WorkSpaces with hourly billing requires firmware 5.3 or higher, and the PCoIP Connection Manager for Amazon WorkSpaces 1.0.5 or later. 5.3 Deployments using the PCoIP management console to manage Tera2 zero clients on this firmware release must use PCoIP management console release 2.0 or later.

Use of Amazon WorkSpaces with hourly billing requires the PCoIP Connection Manager for Amazon WorkSpaces 1.0.5 or higher. 5.4.1 Management requires a compatible endpoint manager such as PCoIP Management Console release 2.0 or higher. 5.4.

Known Issues Workaround changes to this field are not respected by the zero client firmware. Instead, the IPv6 gateway is determined using IPv6 Router Advertisement. Zero client AWI cannot be accessed when touch monitor may lose calibration in OSD is entered in the IPv6 Manual address field. Use the On-Screen Display (OSD) to reconfigure the IPv6 address settings. Evoluent VerticalMouse 4 does not work when connected behind a hub during active session.
