Software Requirements

The following list identies the minimum software requirements for using the Dell Storage vSphere Web Client Plugin.

• Dell Storage Manager (Enterprise Manager): 2016 R3

• Storage Center OS version: 6.5

• VMware ESXi version: 5.5

• VMware vCenter Web Client Server version: 5.5

• FluidFS version: 5.0

NOTE: For 2016 and later, Enterprise Manager is called Dell Storage Manager.

New Features and Enhancements in Version 4.1

Version 4.1 of the Dell Storage vSphere Web Client Plugin provides the following new features and enhancements:

• Support for datastore provisioning with VMFS6 and NFS 4.1 datastores

• Support for Compression

NOTE: The Compression option is enabled on the Edit Volume wizard only if the Allow Compression option has been set on the Storage Center using the Dell Storage Manager. • Disaster Recovery (DR) support DR Recovery can be configured for pairs of Storage Centers.
