Dell™ PowerEdge™ Cluster
SE600Wi Systems Important
Information
In a redundant direct-attached or network-attached configuration, the logical
unit numbers (LUNs) on a Dell PowerVault™ MD3000i storage array may be
trespassed (the ownership of the LUN is moved to a different storage controller)
when a cluster node reboots. When the LUNs on the PowerVault MD3000i
storage array are trespassed:
The Microsoft
®
Windows
®
System Event Log (SEL) logs the event
number 801 and event number 10 from
md3dsm
.
The Dell Modular Disk Storage Manager flags the storage array as
Not Optimal
and displays the following message in the Recovery Guru:
Virtual Disk Not On Preferred Path..
Use the Recovery Guru in the Modular Disk Storage Manager to rebalance
the LUNs and reassign them back to the original storage controllers. To access
the Recovery Guru, go to Modular Disk Storage ManagerSummary
Storage Array Needs Attention.
You can also manually rebalance the LUNs using a CLI command or go to
Modular Disk Storage ManagerSupport Manage RAID Controller
Modules Redistribute Virtual Disks.
A fix for this issue will be available in a future firmware release.
