3 Carefully turn the keyboard over and place it on the palm-rest assembly. 4 Open the latches and disconnect the keyboard cable and the keyboard-backlight cable from the system board.
5 Lift the keyboard, along with the cables, off the palm-rest assembly.

The cables on the keyboard are not folded when you receive a replacement keyboard. Follow these instructions to fold the cables on the replacement keyboard the same way they are folded on the old keyboard. NOTE: Keyboard-backlight cable is present only on a backlit-keyboard. 1 Place the keyboard on a flat and clean surface. 2 Gently fold the keyboard-backlight cable till the edge of the keyboard cable as shown in the image.

2 Note the display cable routing and remove the display cable from the routing guides on the display hinges. 3 Remove the four screws (M2x3) that secure the display hinges to the display back-cover. 4 Remove the two screws (M2x3) that secure the bracket assembly to the display back-cover. 5 Release the display hinge and bracket assembly from the latches on the display back-cover. 6 Lift the display hinge and bracket assembly off the display back-cover.
