It is standards based: IPMI 2.0, and DCMI 1.5 compliant. What is the difference between Dell BMC & iDRAC? Dell BMC is based on iDRAC 8, supporting an optimized for Hyperscale, set of features from iDRAC. Specifically Dell BMC supports Virtual KVM & Media, while the Lifecycle Controller Pre-Boot environment has been removed.
