Wait 48 hours after installation before full cleaning.
Sweep regularly.
Use cleaning products that are safe for vinyl products.
Test cleaning products before use.
Mineral spirits applied to a clean rag can be used for
spot cleaning.
Only use neutral pH cleaners on vinyl. Avoid multi-
surface, ammoniated or chemical cleaners.
A scrub pad can be used on heavy deposits.
Protect your Dec-Tec DIY against burns from cigarettes,
matches, barbeque coals,barbeque grease and other
extremely hot items.
Spills should be cleaned up immediately.
Use non-staining casters, and protectors on chair and
table legs to distribute furniture weight and protect
against scratches and indentation damage.
Use a plastic shovel to periodically remove snow build
up.
DO NOT
Allow Dec-Tec DIY to come in contact with asphalt,
coal tar, heavy oils, roofing cements or creosote as this
will permanently stain the vinyl.
Use rubber or latex-backed mats
Saturate the surface to clean it; damp mopping is
acceptable.
Use solvent-based or chemical care and maintenance
products, refinishing products or waxes on this product.
Use any type of abrasive material or cleaners.
Walk on surface with cleats, spikes or similar type
shoes.
De-icing salt products can be used on the Dec-Tec
DIY membrane, however allproducts available in the
market have not been tested and some may cause
premature discoloration.
Let flower pots drip onto the deck where soil additives
can leak out and cause membrane discoloration.
