Extreme frequency boosts in connection with a high input signal level may lead to overdriving your equipment. Should this occur, it is necessary to reduce the input signal level by using the INPUT control. To emphasize a frequency range, you don’t necessarily have to move its respective sliding control upward; try lowering surrounding frequency ranges instead.

Installation DS-850D Installation Remove all packing materials from the CD Player. Check that all foam and plastic padding is removed. Screw the CD player in a 19“ Rack. Connect all cables. Always disconnect from electric mains power supply before cleaning or servicing. Damages caused by non-observance are not subject to warranty. Set Up and Operation Before plugging the unit in, always make sure that the power supply matches the product specification voltage.
Functions NAMES UND FUNCTIONS Below is a description of the functions of the controls. Main Unit 1) Track Buttons: press track buttons 0-9 buttons to select tracks from the CD. 2) OPEN/CLOSE (Open/Close-button): Press this button to open and close the disc holder. The disc holder cannot be opened during playback, so stop playback before pressing the button. 3) STOP: Stop the CD. 4) PITCH BEND – / +: The CD speed changes when one of the Pitch Bend buttons is pressed.
Operations 1. Opening and closing of the disc holder • Turn the unit’s power on. Press the OPEN/CLOSE-button to open the disc holder. • The disc holder cannot be opened during playback, to prevent playback from being interrupted if the OPEN/CLOSE button is pressed accidentally. Stop the playback first, then press the OPEN/CLOSE button. 2. Loading CD’s • Hold the disc by the edges and place it in the disc holder, then press the OPEN/CLOSE button to close the holder.
6. Pausing • Press the PLAY/PAUSE button to switch between play and pause. • The play indicator flashes when the pause mode is set. • Playback resumes when the PLAY/PAUSE button is pressed again. 7. Setting a Cue Point • Press the PLAY/PAUSE button to switch between play and pause. • The play indicator flashes when the pause mode is set. • Turn the Shuttle wheel to go to your desired CUE point. • Press the PLAY/PAUSE button again and your CUE point has been stored and the CD will continu. 8.
. Changing Pitch of the song There are three tools available for matching the BPM of the CD: 1. Use the pitch slider to adjust the BPM. 2. Use the PITCH BEND button to change the BPM temporarily. 3. Turn the Shuttle wheel to change the BPM temporarily. • 1) Pitch-Slider • To adjust the BPM by sliding the pitch slider up or down, press the PITCH button to turn on the PITCH adjustment function before using. • Slide the pitch slider up to decrease BPM, or down to increase BPM. The adjustment range is +-12%.
Before switching off the power When you have finished using the CD player, before switching off the power, be sure that the disc holder has been closed with the OPEN/CLOSE button. CAUTION: Do not forcibly close the disc holder when the power is off. Do not switch off the power, when the disc holder is open. Switch off the power after the disc holder has been closed with the OPEN/CLOSE button. CD’s 1.
Maintenance The DAP Audio-CD-Player DS-850D requires almost no maintenance. However, you should keep the unit clean. Disconnect the mains power supply, and then wipe the cover with a damp cloth. Do not immerse in liquid. Do not use alcohol or solvents. Keep connections clean. Disconnect electric power, and then wipe the DMX and audio connections with a damp cloth. Make sure connections are thoroughly dry before linking equipment or supplying electric power.
