Description:
An odorless water-based siloxane formulated
to penetrate the surface of concrete, brick,
mortar, tile, stucco and other masonry
surfaces. It forms a water repellent shield for
long lasting wear. It can be used on vertical
and horizontal above-grade surfaces, interior
and exterior. Clear Shield protects concrete
driveways and walks against adverse effects
of deicing salts (chloride ions), water, ice,
and weathering damage. It will not discolor
concrete.
Surface Preparation:
Surface must be clean and completely dry.
Remove any dirt, debris, oil or stains. Any
cracks or loose joints must be repaired
properly before applying Clear Shield.
Pressure wash old concrete or brick with
water. For vertical surfaces, use Damtite
Concrete Cleaner to remove mildew or
efflorescence (salt-like deposits). For new
concrete, wait a minimum of 30 days for
proper curing before applying.
Application:
Stir before using; do not dilute. First apply
product to a small test area to insure proper
penetration is achieved. Surface density or
curing additives on the surface may affect
penetration.
For vertical surface applications, apply with
low pressure sprayer, roller or brush. Start
at top of wall and apply sufficient product to
allow run down of 6 –12 inches.
For horizontal surface applications, apply
product liberally to entire surface with sprayer
or roller; then broom or squeegee for even
distribution and eliminate any puddles.
For both vertical and horizontal, apply
second coat before first coat dries (wet-
on-wet) to ensure complete coverage.
Additional coats may be required for very
porous surfaces.
Coverage:
GALLON: Ranges from 75-125 sq.ft. (7-11m
2
)
per gallon, depending upon porosity and
density of surface.
5 Gallons: Ranges from 375-625 square feet
(34.8-58m2) per 5 gallons, depending upon
porosity and density of surface.
Cleanup/Storage/Disposal:
Wash hands and tools with soap and water
immediately after use. Store unused product
in closed container in heated area. KEEP
FROM FREEZING. Dispose of unused product
in accordance with local, state, and federal
requirements.
Limitations:
Allow new concrete to cure minimum of
30 days. Do not use product if it has rained
within the past 3 days or if rain expected
within 24 hours after applying. Do not use
when temperature is below 40°F (4.44°C).

limestone containing slate or iron. Do not use
over painted surfaces. Protect metal, glass and
other surfaces from overspray since product
may cause stains. Cover plants and shrubs.
Do not use below grade or with hydrostatic
pressure. Topcoating with paint or mastic not
recommended.

CAUTION:

Vapors may cause irritation to eyes,
nose or throat. May cause skin or
allergic reaction. Avoid contact with
eyes, skin & clothing. Do not breathe
vapor. Use with adequate ventilation.
If vapors are inhaled, remove person
to area with fresh air. Wash with soap
& water after contact or handling. In
case of eye contact, flush with fresh
water for at least 15 minutes and get
prompt medical attention. DO NOT TAKE
INTERNALLY. If swallowed, drink 2-3
glasses of clean water to dilute and call
physician immediately. Do not induce
vomiting. Close container after each
use.
