PB-4000 Users Manual
The PB-4000 is a wireless probe transmitter that will send a radio signal to your DCR-4000
receiver when it detects a vehicle in the monitored location, such as a driveway or a drive-up
window. The PB-4000 can be used to detect the direction of travel of a vehicle by using the
dual probe.

User guide
Setting up your wireless dual probe:
1. Install the CR-123 batteries
2. Code your DCR-4000 to receive a signal from the PB-4000. The PB-4000 can distinguish
between traffic entering and exiting.
3. Locate and mount the transmitter near the driveway.
Installing the batteries:
1. Open the lid to the transmitter box.
2. Install three (3) CR-123A batteries (included). Make sure to position the batteries so the
+ and - of the batteries match the outline in the battery compartment.
3. Close the lid and secure the latch.
Coding the receiver:
1. Place the receiver and transmitter near each other.
2. On the receiver, press and hold the "MODE" and "Volume" buttons for three seconds
until the LEDs flash, then release the buttons.
3. Press the "Volume" button repeatedly until you hear the tune you desire.
