Frijoles secos • Antes de cocinar frijoles secos, descarte los frijoles rotos o arrugados y las piedritas y otras suciedades. Enjuague y escurra los frijoles. • Los frijoles pueden ser remojados durante una noche, pero la olla a presión permite cocinar los frijoles secos, sin necesidad de remojarlos. • Agregue cebollas, ajo, apio, hierbas frescas o laurel para dar más sabor al plato. Vegetales Siempre lave y pele (de ser necesario) los vegetales antes de cocinarlos. Los vegetales se cocinan muy rápidamente; recuerda liberar el vapor, empleando el método de descompresión rápido, inmediatamente después de escuchar el pitido que indica el final de la cocción. Si los vegetales requieren cocinarse más, apague la olla y cierre la tapa; seguirán cocinándose al vapor. Siempre agregue ½ taza (120 ml) de líquido para cocinar vegetales.

Después de elegir el ajuste de presión LOW PRESSURE (presión baja) o HIGH PRESSURE (presión alta): Oprima el botón TIME para programar el temporizador. el tiempo subirá en incrementos de 1 minuto entre 1 y 40 minutos, y en incrementos de 5 minutos entre 40 y 99 minutos. Después de programar el temporizador, oprima el botón START/CANCEL para empezar el proceso de cocción. El indicador de presión subirá a medida que la presión se acumula dentro de la olla.
