TRACTOR TO SHARPEN Always observe safety rules when performing any maintenance. Care should be taken to keep the blade balanced. All oil must meet API service classification SF, SG or SH. • Be sure tractor is on level surface. The fan and cooling fins of transmission should be kept clean to assure proper cooling.. Do not attempt to clean fan or transmission while engine is running or while the transmission is hot.
CUSTOMER ' " :::: = : LITllES : :: ..... ; CLEAN AIR INTAKF_-JCOOLING AREAS ENGINE OIL FILTER To insure proper cooling, make sure the grass screen, cooling fins, and other external surfaces of the engine are kept clean at all times. Every 100 hours of operation (more often under extremely dusty, dirty conditions), remove the blower housing and other cooling shrouds. Clean the cooling fins and external surfaces as necessary° Make sure the cooling shrouds are reinstalled.

Disconnect spark plug wire from spark plug and place wire where it cannot come in contact with plug.

The motioncontrollever has been preset at the factory and adjustment should not be necessary,.
SERVnCE AND ADJUSTMENTS FRONT WHEEL TOE-IN ADJUSTMENT WAS1 Front wheel toe-in is required for proper steering operation° Toe-in was set at the factory and adjustment should not be necessary° If parts in the front axle or steedng mechanism have been replaced or damaged, check toe-in and adjust if necessary. RETAINING RING AXLE COVER TO CHECK TOE-IN (See Fig° 28) ° Position front wheels straight ahead. o Measure distance between wheels at front and rear of tires (dimensions "A" and "B").
ERVmCEA TO REPLACE • • o ° HEADLIGHT A TO REMOVE HOOD AND GRILL ASSEMBLY (See Fig. 33) BULB Raise hood_ Pull bulb holder out of the hole in the backside of the grill. Replace bulb in holder and push bulb holder securely back intothe hole in the backside of the grill, Close hood. INTERLOCKS USTMENTS . = ° Raise hood. Unsnap headlight wire connector,, Stand in front of tractor. Grasp hood at sides, tilt toward engine and lift off of tractor. To replace, reverse above procedures.
SE VMCEAND AD, USTMENTS IDLE FUEL ADJUSTING NEEDLE TO ADJUST CARBURETOR IDLE SPEED THROTTLE CONTROL CABLE ° 3HOKE CONTROL CABLE STOP SCREW (See Fig, 34) The carburetorhas been present at the factory and adjustment should not be necessary. However, minor adjustment may be required to compensate for differences in fuel, temperature, altitude or load.
STORAGE ENGINE Immediately prepare your tractor for storage at the end of the season or if the tractor will not be used for 30 days or _ore. _, A JL FUEL SYSTEM CAUTION: Never store the tractor with gasoline in the tank inside a building where fumes may reach an open flame or spark,. Allow the engine to cool before storing in any enclosure.
