ASSEMBLING THE BLOWER TUBE unit, shut the unit off before removing installing the Flex Tube 1. Place a hose clamp or installing the blower tubes. over the end of the Flex Tube (Fig. 1A). 2. Slide the end of the Flex Tube with the clamp on it over the elbow tube (Fig. 1, B). 3. Tighten the screw on the hose clamp to secure the Flex Tube to the elbow tube (Fig. 1, C). WARNING: OVERFILLING OIL CRANKCASE MAY CAUSE SERIOUS PERSONAL INJURY. Check and maintain the proper oil level in the crank case; it is important and cannot be overemphasized. Check the oil before each use while the engine is cold and change it as needed. See Changing the Oil. RECOMMENDED OiL TYPE Using the proper type and weight of oil in the crankcase is extremely important. Check oil before each use while the engine is cold and change the oil per the Maintenance Schedule.

Disconnect the spark plug wire to ensure that the unit cannot start. See Replacing the Spark Plug. Perform these required maintenance procedures at the frequency stated in the table. These procedures should also be a part of any seasonal tune-up. NOTE: Some maintenance procedures may require special tools or skills.
4. Apply enough clean SAE 30 motor oil to lightly coat the filter (Fig. 26). ROCKER 5. Squeeze the filter to spread and remove excess oil (Fig. 27). This requires disassembly of the engine.
