Anextensioncord should not be used unless
absolutely necessary. Use of improper
extension cord could result in a risk offire and
electric shock. If extensioncord must be used,
make sure:
a. That pins on plugof extension cord are the
same number, size and shape as those of
plugon charger.
b. That extension cord isproperlywired and in
good electrical condition;and
c. That wire size is large enoughfor AC
ampere ratingof charger as specified
below:

DAMAGED CORD OR PLUG. If damaged,have

Do notoperate charger if it has received a
sharp blow, been dropped, or otherwise
damaged in any way; take itto a qualified
serviceman.
Do not disassemble charger;take it to a
qualified serviceman when service or repair is
required. Incorrect reassemblymay resultin a
risk of electric shock or fire.
TOreduce riskof eleotncshock, unplugcharger
from outletbefore attemptingany maintenance
or cleaning.Turningoff controlswill not reduce
this risk.

M Disconnect charger from power supplywhen
not in use.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR RECHARGING BATTERIES
When usingyour screwdrivercontinuously,the batteries in your screwdriverwill become hot. Youshould let your
screwdrivercool downfor approximately30 minutes before attemptingto recharge.
Note: This situationonly occurswhen continuoususe of your screwddver causes the batteries to become hot. It
doesnotoccur under normal circumstances. Referto "CHARGING YOUR SCREWDRIVER" for normal
rechargingof batteries. If the charger does not charge your screwddver under normalcircumstances,returnboth
the screwdriverand charger toyour nearest Sears repair center for electr_,alcheck.
