Measurement Guide

Window Curtain Panel Measurement Guide
Window Curtain Panels can be used separately or used with valances. Keep it simple with just a curtain or layer curtains
over blinds. Either way they will add character and color to your window creating a visual interest. Here are a few steps
to ensure you get the perfect size and look for your window curtain panel.
1. One should measure the length of the window that one will be hanging the curtain for. If you see by the below image
(blue arrow) one should measure from the curtain bracket to the part of the window or floor one wants the curtain
panel to hang to ensure your window is completely covered.
2. Next one should measure the width of the window. Measuring from curtain rod bracket to curtain rod bracket. If one
wants a more gathered/ruffled designer look one could double the width of the window to create that fullness.
3. Note that it is easiest to hang a window curtain panel with two people. Once you have the measurements complete
and valances purchased now you are ready to hang. Depending on your curtain panel, will depend on how to hang the it
on the curtain rod. a. For a Tie Panel simply tie the curtain panel on the rod with either a bow or knot look depending on
your style preference.
b. For a Curtain Rod Pocket panel one will need to remove the curtain rod and insert the rod through the rod pocket on
the curtain panel. Then rehang the rod back up over the window. Be sure the curtain panel back is facing the wall.
After your curtain panel is hung do not forgot your little finishing touches to ensure it is laying, gathered, and hanging in
the proper fashion, in order to obtain the look you are desiring. There are included with your curtain panel 2 tie backs
that can be used to hold open the curtains in a drape fashion.
Bracket and hardware not included.
