ISOMAX 4RF
PODIUM MICROPHONE
Polar Pattern: Hypercardioid, Cardioid, Omni
Output Impedance:
270 Ohms balanced, transformerless. Will
drive any load impedance without distortion at
full rated SPL.
Maximum Sound Level: 124 dB SPL at 1% THD
Phantom Power: 9 V to 50 V
Connector: XLR-3 male
Equivalent Acoustic Noise: 39 dBA SPL
Sensitivity: 5.0 mV/Pascal
The ISOMAX 4RF’s unique Active Vibration Isolation detects and subtracts table
thumps, handling noise, and other vibration from the signal, providing full, clean sound
without the need for bulky shock mounts. The ISOMAX 4RF also virtually eliminates
buzz from cell phones and other radio frequency (RF) sources, resulting in high-quality,
interference-free audio for meeting rooms, houses of worship, and other sound
reinforcement and broadcast applications. Its tightly-controlled, consistent pickup
pattern accurately captures subjects while reducing feedback.
Exceptional Sound Quality
The omnidirectional model has a
very even frequency response. The
hypercardioid model’s response is
essentially flat between 70 Hz - 18 kHz,
with a slight rise at 3 kHz for additional
presence. A 24 dB/octave high-pass
filter at 70 Hz cuts wind noise and rumble
without affecting voice. Overall sound
quality is better than mics costing many
times more.

Versatile
The gooseneck tube can be bent and
re-bent many times. Semi-rigid reinforcing
sections can be specified in the middle,
at either or both ends, or along the entire
tube. Special applications are easily
accommodated while a variety of popular
stock configurations makes ordering
easy. The ISOMAX 4RF can be mounted
in a standard clamp or plugged into an
optional, unobtrusive through-desk mount
that both connects and supports the mic.
It can be powered by phantom power
supply or optional battery pack.
Active Vibration Isolation
A separate pickup element senses
vibration, handling noise, and physical
shock and subtracts these problem
sounds from the output. The result is
less noise from bending the gooseneck,
thumping the podium, or hand-holding
the mic during interviews ... and there’s no
need for an expensive and bulky shock
mount.

RF Immunity
The ISOMAX 4RF improves on the
impressive RF rejection of the ISOMAX 4,
making this version practically immune to
interference from cell phones and other
wireless devices.
Consistent Patterns
Choose a hypercardioid pattern for more
isolation or to accommodate positions
farther from the presenter, remaining
unobtrusive. The excellent side and rear
rejection lets you use higher levels of
amplification while avoiding feedback.
Cardioid patterns provide a broader front
lobe for wider coverage. Omnidirectional
versions are also available.
