When the lamp is lit in orange during the battery charging, you can use the Toshiba Pocket PC e800/e805. When the battery is completely charged, the LED alarm lamp color will change to green.
26 Switch to Lock the High Capacity Battery Pack. You cannot turn on the power if Battery Pack Lock is at the Release side. You can replace the main battery with the High Capacity Battery without data loss because Toshiba Pocket PC e800/e805 has a rechargeable backup battery. However, the capacity of the backup battery is limited, therefore when you change the main battery, attach the new main battery and switch the Battery Pack Lock to the lock side as soon as possible.

Parts and Functions of the Expansion Pack The Cradle Connection Port allows you to connect the Expansion Pack to the Cradle. The RGB (Monitor) Port is a standard 15-pin RGB port for connecting an external display device such as a monitor or projector (640 x 480 64K colors @ 60Hz and 800 x 600 64K colors @ 60Hz). The USB Port allows you to connect USB keyboard to the Pocket PC. Release Button: When pressed, the Release Button releases the Expansion Pack from the Toshiba Pocket PC e800/e805.

Text to Speech synthesizes voice, and reads out emails, text files and text data on the clipboard. Text to Speech consists of three applications, Mail Speech, Text Speech and Speech Settings. Mail Speech displays unread emails and reads them out. Text Speech picks up text files in Toshiba Pocket PC e800/e805 and reads them out. It also reads out text data on clipboard. Speech Settings arranges the settings of Mail Speech and Text Speech. You can use one application of Text to Speech at a time.

Setting the World Clock World Clock displays the time and date of multiple cities in a screen. You can select the cities easily, by tapping the map or pull-down list. Home nighttime Visit1 Visit2 DST (Daylight Saving Time) is applied automatically. 1. Tap Tools. 2. Select any of the following: ?Select: A zoomed map is displayed on the screen. Audio file while holding a call You can configure an audio file to play for your party while the call is holding. You can choose one of the many available audio files that came standard with Toshiba IP Phone for Pocket PC. The default audio file is defrhold.wav. You can also select an audio file of your own creation. NOTE When creating your own answering message audio files, make sure that it is a 16-bit, 8 KHz, PCM recorded monophonic file (not stereophonic), and no more than 30 seconds in length.

You can select to synchronize additional folders by designating them for ActiveSync. The folders you create and the messages you move will then be mirrored on the server.
Pocket Word works with Microsoft Word on your computer to give you easy access to copies of your documents. You can create new documents on your device, or you can copy documents from your computer to your device. Synchronize documents between your computer and your device so that you have the most up-to-date content in both locations. Use Pocket Word to create documents, such as letters, meeting minutes, and trip reports. To create a new file, tap , Programs, Pocket Word, and then New.
You can change the zoom magnification by tapping View and then Zoom. Then select the percentage you want. Select a higher percentage to enter text and a lower one to see more of your document.
