INITIAL SET-UP Note: Before using your cordless telephone, unit must be charged for at least 12 hours. TONE / PULSE (P/T) MODE: A. If your home is equipped with a Tone dialing system, set the Tone/Pulse select switch to the Tone position. B. If you have a rotary dialing system, set the Tone/Pulse select switch to Pulse position. C. If you are unsure which system you have, set the Tone/Pulse select switch to the Tone position.
A. REDIAL USING THE HANDSET: 1. 2. 3. Lift the Handset and press the TALK button. Listen for a dial tone. Press the RE/PA button to automatically dial the last telephone number you called using the Handset. Press the SAVE button to save. Press the DIR button to return to standby mode. EDITING A STORED NAME AND NUMBER IN THE DIRECTORY: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. Press the DIR button, the LCD display shows PHONEBOOK. Press the arrow cursor up/down to find the name and telephone number to edit. Press the FLASH/EDIT button to edit the name.
FLASH FUNCTION: Used to access custom calling features such as Call Waiting or Three-Way Calling provided by your telephone company, FLASH button can also be used to restore a dial tone to make a new call. CHANNEL SELECTION: (40 Channels) A. AUTO CHANNEL SCAN. When you transmit or receive a call, Talk button in the Handset must be pressed, the unit can autoscans for clear channel. B. MANUAL CHANNEL SCAN.
“MSG” (MESSAGE WAITING) This functions requires Voice Mail subscription from the local telephone company. Furthermore, the local phone company must provide a type of voice mail signaling called “FSK” (Frequency Shift Key). Not all telephone companies have the visual message waiting feature available. Please contact your telephone company to check if this is available in your area.
MAKING A CALL FROM THE CALLER LIST: 1. 2. 3. 4. Press the arrow cursor up/down to select the current / latest record. Press the keypad “0” button to select call number. Press the TALK button to start conversation. To end your conversation, either press TALK button or place the Handset back on the Base unit. B. FIRST RING ON/OFF: This unit will generate the first ring sound even in the Blocked Call mode, you can turn off the first ring sound. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. Press and hold the AMP button until the LCD display shows RING HI. Press the telephone keypad 3 button or press the arrow cursor up/down. Press the FLASH/EDIT button. Press the arrow cursor up/down to select the mode. Silent off is the preset mode. Press the SAVE button. Press the AMP button to return to standby mode. C.
G. TURNING PBX MODE ON/OFF: This unit enables to turn ON/ OFF the PBX system depending on the telephone system you are using. 1. Press and hold the AMP button until the LCD display RING HI. 2. Press the telephone keypad 8 button or press the arrow cursor up/down. 3. Press the FLASH/EDIT button. 4. Press the arrow cursor up/down for: PBX MODE OFF -Setting for direct line access. Press the arrow cursor down the LCD display shows AMPLIFIER ON. Press the FLASH/EDIT button. Press the arrow cursor up/down to select the mode. Amplifier On is the preset mode. Press the SAVE button.
