Section 1 Getting to Know Your Video Camera Overview This video camera equipped with a 5 Mega Pixel sensor can take H.264 format videos. The H.264 technology allows for extended video recording with less memory. High quality images up to 16 mega-pixels can also be delivered smoothly. With a color LCD monitor, you can view and examine the video and photo easily. The 3” LCD touch panel is an ideal platform for you to operate your device. The menu options are accessible with your fingertip.

Section 2 Getting Started Loading the Battery Before using the device, you must load the supplied Lithium-ion rechargeable battery. 1. Slide the latch and open the battery cover. 2. Insert the battery correspondingly to the correct polarity marks ( + or -). 3. Close the battery cover firmly. Note • Different battery types and surrounding temperatures may affect the battery performance. • Never expose the battery to a heating equipment (e.g.
Inserting and Removing SD Card (Optional) The video camera comes with an internal memory which allows you to store photos and videos. You can expand the memory capacity by using an optional SD memory card. 1. Insert the memory card into the slot until it locks in place. Please refer to the figure. 2. To remove an installed SD card, press the card inwards to release it. 3. When the card pops out, gently remove it from its slot. 4. Recommended memory capacity: 1GB or above.
Turning the Video Camera On • To turn on the device: 1. Flip out the LCD panel; the device will turn on automatically. 2. Or press the [ Power Button ] for one second to turn it on. 3. After idling for 3 minutes, the device will turn off automatically. Configuring the Initial Date and Time Setup • The time setting screen appears to allow you to set up date and time: Operation Display Screen 1. Video Recording • Press the [ Video Button ] to start recording. When a video is being recorded, a time indicator will display on the LCD monitor ( 00:06:30 ). To stop recording, press it again. • To pause recording, press the [ Pause Button • Touch ]. To continue the recording, press it again.
Using Wireless Connection • To Connect between the device and PC/Mobile/Cloud wirelessly. • To start the connection of wireless. • Press the [ Wireless ]. • There are three connection types to select: Wireless to Mobile/Wireless to PC/Wireless to Cloud. Three Connection Types Note • For details, please refer to section 6, 7, and 8. Options for Record Menu Menu Flow 1. Touch on the screen to open the Menu. 2. Scroll left / right or touch on the menu screen to change among the pages.
Video Menu Operation Display Screen on the screen to open the Menu. The menu 1. Touch will show on the screen. 2. The first page contains 8 options-- Resolution, Light, Scene, White Balance, Video Stabilization, Motion Detect, Slow Motion, and Time Lapse--for you to adjust the device settings. 3. Touch the Exit icon ( ) to exit. Video Resolution Four resolution settings are available. • Full HD (1080p 30):Record videos at 1920×1080p 30 fps resolution.
Light Three light settings are available. • Light ON: The light will be turned on. • Digital Light: To extend the dynamic range for backlight and the high contrast sense so that the objects will be brighter and clearer. • Light OFF: The light is turned off. Operation Display Screen 1. In the Video menu, touch the [ Light ] icon on the screen. 2. Touch to select the desired option. 3. Touch the OK icon ( ) to validate the setting. 4. Touch the Return icon ( ) to return.
White Balance The device adjusts the color balance of images automatically. Three manual white balance settings are available. • Auto: The device automatically adjusts white balance. • Daylight: Under outdoor condition. • Fluorescent: Under fluorescent condition. • Tungsten: Under tungsten light condition. Operation Display Screen 1. In the Video menu, touch the [ White Balance ] icon on the screen. 2. Touch to select the desired option. 3. Touch the OK icon ( ) to validate the setting. 4.
Slow Motion Record videos with slow motion effect. When playing the video, the playback time will be longer than the actual recording time. Some occasions you can use this effect, such as the skill demonstration of athletic activities of all kinds, or a key moment in an athletic game. Operation Display Screen 1. Photo Menu Operation Display Screen on the screen to open the Menu. The menu 1. Touch will show on the screen. 2. Swipe on the menu screen to change the page. 3. Photo Resolution Three resolution settings are available. • 16MP:Shoot photo at 4608×3456, 16MP quality. • 5MP:Shoot photo at 2592×1944, 5MP quality.
Date Printing Imprint the date and time on the photo. Operation Display Screen 1. In the Photo menu, touch the [ Date Printing ] icon on the screen. 2. Touch to select [ On ] ( 3. Touch the Return icon ( )or [ Off ] ( ). ) to return. 4. Once a photo is taken, the date will display at the right down corner of the phto when you activate this function. Note • Date Printing function can not be used in Record Mode. ISO The camera adjusts the ISO sensitivity of its images automatically.
Section 4 Enjoying the Playback Mode Operations for Playback Mode The Playback Mode is to view or manage videos/photos from the built-in memory or in an SD Card. Operation Display Screen 1. Touch on the screen to switch to the Playback mode. 2. Touch to go to the Video Playback Mode. 3. Touch to go to the Photo Playback Mode 4. Touch to go back to the Record Mode. Button Function The Buttons have the following functions in Playback Mode. Video Button: 1. Press to go the Playback Mode Main Menu.

Video Playback Operation Display Screen 1. In the Video Playback mode, touch pause the video. / to play or 2. Scroll to right or touch to go back; scroll to left or touch to proceed to the next. 3. Photo Playback Operation Display Screen 1. In the Photo Playback mode, scroll to right or touch to go back; scroll to left or touch to proceed to the next. 2. When the photo is selected, push forwards to the [ T ] (Tele Button) to magnify. (The magnification Indicator appears on the screen) 3. To navigate the magnified photo, press on the screen and move to any direction requested with one fingertip. 4. Push forwards to the [ W ] (Wide Button) to zoom out or exit the magnification mode. 5.
Section 5 Setting Your Video Camera Setting Menu Operation Display Screen on the screen to open the Menu. The menu 1. Touch will show on the screen. 2. Scroll on the menu screen to change the page. 3. The [ Setting ] page contains 8 options for configuring your device setup. They are Wireless Connection, Wireless ID, Menu Sound (operation sound), TV System, Language, Time Setting, Format, and Default Setting. 4. Touch the Exit icon ( ) to exit.
Menu Sound Enable or disable the sound effect of the operation sound. Operation Display Screen 1. In the Setting menu, touch the [ Menu Sound ] icon on the screen. 2. Language Use this option to select a language of the user’s interface. Operation Display Screen 1. In the Setting menu, touch the [ Language ] icon on the screen. 2. Touch to select the desired option. 3. Touch the OK icon ( ) to validate the setting. 4. Touch the Return icon ( ) to return. Time Setting Operation Display Screen 1. In the Setting menu, touch the [ Time Setting ] icon on the screen to enter the time setting screen. 2. Touch Year, Month, Day, Hour, Minute, and AM/PM to set. 3.
Default Setting Restore the default setting. Operation Display Screen 1. In the Setting menu, touch the [ Default Setting ] icon on the screen. 2. Touch to select [ Yes ] or [ No ] ( ). (Touch [ Yes ] to enter the confirmation screen.) 3. Touch the icon to execute the operation and the icon to cancel the operation. The default settings of this device are listed as below.
Section 6 Wireless to PC WiVideo Suite Advanced Operation on Your Computer - WiVideo The camera can connect to your computer via wireless or USB. Once you launch the [ WiVideo ] application (for Windows® systems only) on your computer, it will search for your camera and connect to it. Then, you can operate more functions on your computer. There are several functions as below: • Transfer the files from the camera. ( wireless/USB connection) • Watch live streaming video from the camera on your computer.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation. 4. The shortcut of WiVideo ( ) shows on the desktop. (Or you can find the application at [ Start ] → [ All Program ].) 5. The main screen appears automatically on the desktop. 6. When the installation is completed, you can unplug the USB cable. Note • WiVideo program will install the H.264 Codec (ffdshow-a free software under GPL license) for viewing the videos correctly.
On your computer: 2. Double click the [ WiVideo ] shortcut on the desktop. (make sure the [ WiVideo ] application is installed in your computer in advance.) 3. Click [ Detect Wireless Camera ] button to search for your camera. *One task window may pop out and ask you to select your camera when there are two or more wireless cameras in the same wireless network range. 4. Check [ Wireless ID ] and input [ Password ] shown on your camera on the WiVideo task window. Then, click [ OK ] 5.
Using WiVideo via USB Connection 1. Connect the camera to your computer by using the supplied USB cable. 2. After making a USB connection, the main screen will appear. Or please click [ WiVideo PC Suite ] shortcut on the desktop to execute the application. Or you can find it at [ Start ]→[ All Program ]. The WiVideo application serves 2 functions via USB: Function TRANSFER Description You can access the videos and photos in your camera and upload the files to the social networks. Upload 1.
Section 7 Wireless to Mobile WiVideo App Advanced Operation on Your Mobile - WiVideo Use your mobile as a remote control to take photo/videos from camera wirelessly. It makes the camera become a handy accessory to go with your mobile, which allows you to record any scene, any time and any where. There are several functions as below: • Use your mobile as a remote control to take photos/videos from your camera wirelessly. • Zoom in/out the lens on the camera via your mobile.
iOS system (iPhone/iPad): Direct/Hotspot/AP Modes There are three modes of wireless connections to your mobile from the camera if you are a iPhone/ iPad user. Under different environments and circumstances, you may use the one that is most effective to connect at the time. Using WiVideo via Wireless Connection Operation Screen Remote Control Your Camera (from Mobile): 1. Press [ Mobile WiVideo App ] icon on your mobile. 2. Detect the available cameras automatically from your mobile. 3. Enter the password (The default is 0000 and it can be edited via [ SETUP ] from WiVideo APP.) or via [ Settings ] from the camera. 4. Enjoy playing your camera via your mobile. Mobile WiVideo Suite Function Through your mobile, you may remote control your camera wirelessly.
Section 8 Wireless to Cloud-Ustream Sign up and Store Ustream Account to Camera Ustream enables you to free broadcast the live video of your camera. People can watch your broadcasting on their iPhone, iPad, iPod press, Android phones/tablets, or PC on Ustream website/ APP anytime, anywhere. WiVideo program can guide you to setup Ustream automatically. Before you start using Ustream, you need to register an account at Ustream website (www.ustream.tv).
Prepare AP / Mobile Hotspot for Ustream broadcasting Ensure you have a working AP (Access Point) / Mobile Hotspot device to get ready to start broadcasting. Broadcast live video on Ustream Start Live Video Streaming from Camera 1. Press [ Wireless’ ] button on the camera 2. Select [ Wireless to Cloud ]( ) from [ Connection Type ]. 3. Log in your Ustream account 4. Enter your username and password. 5. The camera lists available Access Point. 6.
Watch Live Video from Mobile 1. Install Ustream App from Google Play or Apple Store. 2. Launch App and enter the username/channel 3. Click Ustream App 4. Search your account. 5. The mobile connects to Ustream server and view video streaming from camera. 6. When the connection is established, the signal strength will show on the top of the screen. 7. To cancel streaming, touch the [ Return ] icon to terminate streaming. Watch Live Video from PC 1. Go to Ustream website and enter the username/channel www.
1. The screen shown the icon[ Connecting Failed ] ( ) indicates the camera does not connect to the network correctly. Note • The possible reasons for “Connecting Failed” could be (1) wrong password ; (2) you are not in the wireless network area of the AP. (3) the camera does not support the type of encryption used on the AP. This model only supports WEP/WPA/WPA2 personal type of encryption, but not up to enterprise level (4)your network requires PPPoE account/password information.
Section 9 Viewing Photos and Videos on TV Connecting to a High-Definition 16:9(Wide) TV 1. Connect the HDMI cable to your device’s HDMI Out port. 2. Connect the other end of the cable to a television. 3. Set the video input source of your TV to “ HDMI.” 4. The steps for viewing stored videos and photos on HDTV are exactly the same as for viewing them on the LCD screen. Section 10 Viewing Photos and Videos on PC Transferring Photos or Videos to a Computer You can transfer photos or videos stored on your device to a computer and send them in e-mails to friends or post them on the web sites. To do this you should: 1. Connect the computer and device with the supplied mini USB 2.0 cable. 2. To access photos and videos on your SD card: Videos and photos can be found on your computer at My Computer\ SD\DCIM\100MEDIA (path will vary depending on name of SD card). 3.

Section 12 Troubleshooting Troubleshooting If the camera fails to function as expected, check the list of the common problems below. Problem/Situation Cannot turn on the camera. The power turns off suddenly. Camera cannot be turned on after plugging power adapter. The files on the memory card do not display smoothly when the LCD shows the “!” marking. Remediation/Solution • Power is off. Press the [ Power Button ] to turn on. • Battery pack is weak or depleted. Recharge the battery pack.
