Dear Customer,
Thank you for purchasing your Cast Iron Pedestal Bath from Cheviot Products. To help you enjoy your tub for
many years to come, please see the following instructions regarding the installation of the Pedestal:
With the tub upside down, place the pedestal onto the tub & secure it by tightening the four bolts
provided, through the slots on the bottom of the bath. Do not tighten the nuts and washers completely until you
have maneuvered the pedestal into the "best fit" position. Please keep in mind that the tub & pedestal are not
manufactured as a single unit but come out of two completely different molds, therefore they will not join
together perfectly, there will be a slight gap between the two, however, this is normal. Also this does not mean
that there will be a gap all of the way around the bath, it could be sporadic.
Turn the tub over & place it into position. To eliminate the gap simply place a bead of flexible, watertight
and mildew resistant silicone adhesive around the joint of the tub & pedestal. This will not only secure the two
pieces together but also give you a "finished" look by making the unit look like a single piece. Once the
siliconing has been done we suggest you leave the tub for at least 24 to 48 hours to allow it to cure properly.

CLEANING OF THIS CAST IRON BATHTUB CAN BE CARRIED OUT QUICKLY AND EASILY
BY USING LIQUID SOAP AND A SOFT CLOTH.
PRODUCTS SUCH AS VIM, FANTASTIC, SPIC & SPAN AND MR. CLEAN DEFINITELY
MUST NOT BE USED FOR THE CLEANING OF THIS CAST IRON BATHTUB AS THEY MAY
DAMAGE THE FINISH.
FOR PROPER MAINTENANCE OF THIS CAST IRON BATHTUB:
 WIPE DOWN INTERIOR OF BATHTUB WITH A SOFT, DRY CLOTH AFTER EVERY USE.
 POLISH INTERIOR WITH “GEL GLOSS” EVERY 90 DAYS.
