Introduction 2. Introduction Product Description Features Xeno™ 2500 User Manual Rev. 1 The Xeno™ 2500 is an ultra-high frequency strobe luminaire powered by a 2,500-watt Xenon lamp. When multiple products are linked, built-in automated programs trigger several pre-programmed shows via master/slave. The product is controlled by sound-activation or DMX through 3- and 5-pin connectors.

Setup 3. Setup AC Power Each Xeno™ 2500 has an auto-ranging power supply that works with an input voltage range of 208~230 VAC, 50/60 Hz. To determine the power requirements for each Xeno™ 2500, refer to the label affixed to the product. You can also refer to the Technical Specifications chart in this manual. The listed current rating indicates the maximum current draw during normal operation. For more information, download Sizing Circuit Breakers from the CHAUVET® website: www.chauvetpro.com.
Setup DMX Linking You can link the Xeno™ 2500 to a DMX controller using a standard DMX serial connection. If using other DMX compatible products with the Xeno™ 2500, you can control each individually with a single DMX controller. DMX Modes The Xeno™ 2500 uses the standard DMX data connection for the 3- and 4-channel DMX Master/Slave Connectivity modes. • Refer to Introduction for a brief description of these modes. • Refer to Operation to learn how to configure the Xeno™ 2500 to work in these modes.
Setup 4. Side B contains 2 wires (1- white and 1 clear) that are connected to a terminal block. Unscrew these wires and carefully note where each was connected. CAUTION: Do not misalign or reverse the connections when installing the new lamp! 5. Using the ceramic ends of the lamp, carefully remove it from the socket springs. 6. Holding ONLY the ceramic ends of the lamp and using EXTREME CAUTION not to touch the glass portion of the lamp, gently slide the lamp into the socket spring located on Side B. 7.
Setup Scroller Mounting Bracket The Xeno™ 2500 is includes an adaptor bracket to mount a scroller. Follow the procedure below to mount the scroller brackets. Procedure 1. Turn the product off and disconnect it from power. Wait at least 15 minutes for the lamp to cool down. Setup Mounting Before mounting this product, read and follow the Safety Notes in this manual. Orientation Always mount this product in a safe position and make sure there is adequate room for ventilation, configuration, and maintenance. Rigging CHAUVET® recommends using the following general guidelines when mounting this product. • When selecting an installation location, consider easy access to this product for operation, programming adjustments, and routine maintenance.

Operation Master/Slave Mode This mode allows you to set the MASTER product to control other products daisy chained together. There are 3 ways to configure Master/Slave mode. Standalone Flash 1. Go to FL. (00~99) in the main level on the first MASTER product. Master/Slave Mode 2. Select the desired Flash Speed (00~99). 3. Go to A.(001~512) in the main level and set the DMX address to A.001. 4. Connect the SLAVE products using the SLAVE OUT connection on the back of the MASTER product. 5.

Usage and environment are contributing factors in determining the cleaning frequency. As a rule, clean this product at least twice a month. Dust build-up reduces light output performance and can cause overheating. This can lead to reduced light source life and increased mechanical wear. To clean your product: • Unplug the product from power.
