No matter what kind of temperature measurement you choose, you need the right skills to measure the
exact temperature. In order to assist you to use CareBaby more effectively, please read this manual
carefully.
IMPORTANT
CareBaby uses a mulƟ-point sensor to read temperature changes. We understand the surface
temperature of human body in all ages will be dŝīerent according to dŝīerent environments.
CareBaby need to posiƟon up tp 1 meter/39" inches away from your babys face
CareBaby best measured ambient environment is between 24-27 ȗC (75.2-80.6 ȗF)
CareBaby need to be in a light environment at least 100 luxin order to measure the heart
rate and respiratory rate
Newborns and 2-year-old infants have faster heartbeat and respiratory rate, therefore no
data on heartbeat and breathing record will display in Apps. However if CareBaby detects
lower or abnormal heart rate and respiratory rate for newborns or infants (under 2 years
old), CareBaby has push noƟĮcaƟon funcƟon to send the noƟce user’s smartphone
This is ONLY for household product
CareBaby is not a subsƟtute for a physician's treatment
Keep the product out of reach of children
The normal body temperature has a certain range. The following table listed the range of normal body
temperature in diīerent part of the body by using diīerent type of measurement thermometers. Thus
diīerent part of body has diīerent temperature, so the data should not be directly compared.
CareBaby's data is based on mercury thermometers.

In addiƟon, each person's normal body temperature range will also change by diīerent age. The table
below lists the normal temperature ranges for diīerent age groupsˤ
Normal body temperature for diīerent ages
Infant 36.4-38.0 ȗC / 97.5-100.4 ȗF
3-10 years 36.1-37.8 ȗC / 97.0-100.0 ȗF
11-65 years 35.9-37.5 ȗC / 96.6-99.7 ȗF
65+ 35.8-37 .4ȗC / 96.4-99.5 ȗF
The normal range of body temperature varies from person to person. At diīerent Ɵmes of the day, the
temperature and humidity of the environment can also cause diīerent changes in body temperature.
Therefore, it is important to determine your normal range of body temperature!
A normal persons heart rate has a regular beaƟng paƩern. Normal heart rhythm is about 60 to 80 Ɵmes
per minute. Usually the speed of pulse beat is related to age and gender. Of course younger age will
occur faster too. The following table lists the heartbeat ranges for diīerent age groups.

Youth 65-100
Adult 60-110
Elder 60-100

The number of breaths per minute is called the respiratory rate. Of course, diīerent age groups and
genders will aīect the breathing rate. The following table lists the breathing ranges of diīerent age
groups.

If CareBaby is operated within an unspecified temperature and humidity range, the accuracy
of the body temperature measurement cannot be confirmed.
CareBaby cannot confirm the accuracy of heartbeat and respiratory measurements if there
is not enough light
