HYBRID DOCUMENT SCANNER
IT’S A JUNGLE OUT THERE. AND GUESS WHAT’S ON THE ENDANGERED LIST? In today’s digital economy, businesses rely on advanced information technology to carry them into the future. Unfortunately, even the most sophisticated data storage technology has a limited life-span—as little as five years. Think about it, your businesscritical information could be facing extinction sooner than you think. The scanner with a photographic memory.
WHAT TECHNOLOGY GIVES, TECHNOLOGY TAKES AWAY. Imagine the year 2010. All your important documents and records have been backed up and stored in a digital library. Problem is, when your new/upgraded computer system tries to retrieve them, all you get is a blank screen. With no established technology standards, and none on the horizon, one simple hardware or software upgrade could be enough to lock you out of your digital library for good.
WHAT INTEGRATED IMAGING WAS MEANT TO BE. FEATURES THAT UNDERSTAND, “YOU’RE ONLY HUMAN.” Thanks to Canon’s DR-5060F, business now has a cost-effective, front-end solution for high-volume document capture and storage. Never has backing-up been so forwardthinking, or “long-term” so wise an investment, guaranteeing a permanent record of the past and a reliable link to the future. Canon doesn’t make safety an option. Neither should you.
The DR-5060F workstation has been specifically designed to maximize operator comfort and enhance productivity. Available in three separate modules for installation flexibility, all components feature heavy-duty construction and locking castors. Workstation I (for the DR-5060F main unit) is height-adjustable for operator comfort and easy access for those with disabilities. It includes a keyboard/mouse tray and CPU bracket, which may be used with either the left or right companion unit.
THE FAST TRACK HAS A PASSING LANE. Canon’s DR-5060F turns even the busiest imaging experts into smooth operators, thanks to incredible speeds of up to 100 pages per minute* for accelerated throughput.
Canon Imprinter Installed within the scanner, Canon’s Imprinter option uses an ink-jet cartridge to print userspecified information on the front of a document as it passes through the scanner, or electronically imprinted on corresponding image data. Bar Code Decoder Convenient for simple record-keeping tasks, this option enables the scanner to recognize bar-coded areas on scanned pages, automatically creating indexes for easy retrieval of individual files.
