Read all instructions before beginning to assemble the fire pit. Philip’s screwdriver required. Install side panel as shown using QTY 4 #10 screws. Do not tighten the screws all the way at this point. Assembly is easier with two people. Lay top assembly upside down on a clean surface. (Use a blanket or towel to avoid scratching) Starting with the rear panel make sure the outside surfaces of the panels are flush with the outside panels of the bottom assembly and tighten the screws.
DO NOT COVER THE GUARD AROUND THE THERMOCOUPLE AND IGNITER INSTALL DOOR BY PUTTING THE BOTTOM IN FIRST AND THEN TIGHTNENING THE THUMB SCREWS IF DOOR IS TIGHT LOOSEN THE SCREWS HOLDING THE SIDE PANELS AND PUSH THEM OUT WHILE TIGHTENING THE SCREWS Do not tighten the screws all the way at this point. Starting with the rear panel make sure the outside surface of the panels are flush with the outside panels of the bottom assembly and tighten the screws. INSTALL BOTTOM ASSEMBLY AS SHOWN USING QTY 10 #10 SCREWS.
WHAT TO DO IF YOU SMELL GAS. • Do not try to light any appliance. • Do not touch any electrical switch; do not use any phone in your building. • Immediately call your gas supplier from a neighbor’s phone. Follow the gas supplier’s instructions. • If you cannot reach your gas supplier, call the fire department. Installation and service must be performed by a qualified installer, service agency or gas supplier. WARNING DO NOT use this fire pit in a manner other than its intended purpose.
5. Hand tighten the coupler clockwise until it comes to a full stop. Firmly tighten by hand only. 6. Place the tank inside the fire pit housing. Make sure the hose does not touch any part of the burner drum housing. Care should be taken to protect the fuel supply hose from damage from either foot or vehicle traffic. If the fire pit is not in use, the gas must be turned off at the supply cylinder and the cylinder should be disconnected from the fire pit. Storage of the fire pit indoors is only permissible if the cylinder is disconnected and removed from the fire pit. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Lighting Procedures 1. Lire toutes les instructions avant de procéder au montage du foyer. Utiliser un tournevis à pointe cruciforme. Montage facilité à deux personnes. Placer la partie supérieure à l’envers sur une surface propre (utiliser une couverture ou une serviette pour éviter les griffes). Trouver les deux panneaux latéraux du foyer. Le trou de chaque panneau latéral doit être placé le plus près possible de la face avant (côté avec les boutons) et du bas (qui constituera la base du foyer).
Replacer l’appareil à l’endroit et répartir les matériaux de combustion (pierres ou verre) autour du brûleur. Ne pas recouvrir le dispositif de protection autour du thermocouple et de l’allume-gaz. Monter la porte en commençant par le bas et en serrant ensuite les vis à serrage manuel. AVERTISSEMENT Au cours du processus de raccordement, le raccordement du détendeur adhérera hermétiquement à la valve de sécurité de la bouteille, ce qui provoquera une légère résistance. Le raccordement nécessite un demi à trois quarts de tour supplémentaire pour terminer le raccordement. Toute bouteille de gaz doit être fabriquée et étiquetée conformément aux spécifications relatives aux bouteilles de propane du Département des transports américain (DOT) CFR 49 ou de la norme canadienne CAN/CSA B339.
ne s’allume pas tout de suite, fermer le robinet du gaz et attendre 5 minutes avant de tenter un nouvel allumage. Si le feu de camp ne s’allume pas, vérifier le fil de l’électrode d’allumage. Éteindre le gaz au niveau du robinet de la bouteille. Vérifier l’espace au niveau de l’étincelle et s’assurer que le fil se trouve à 3 mm (1/8 po) du trou du brûleur. S’assurer qu’aucune pierre ne touche le fil de l’électrode. Tourner le bouton lentement vers la position high et attendre l’étincelle.
