20 Quick Start Guide 216262 INFINIUM/6262-212 INFINIUM/6260 INFINIUM/6260-212 INFINIUM
Front Panel
(1) POWER switch is used to turn the power of the
Bugera amplier on and o.
(2) STANDBY switch allows you to place the amp
in STANDBY mode. This way the amp is idle,
butthe operational temperature of the valves
is maintained (POWER switch turned on).
! Attention!
To avoid damage to your amp, never use the
Bugera valve amplifier without a loudspeaker
connected!
(3) REVERB control determines the amount
of the built-in reverb eect. The 6262
INFINIUM (and6262-212 INFINIUM) features
individual REVERB controls for the LEAD and
CLEAN channels. The supplied footswitch
lets you activate the REVERB eect
(see Chapter “Footswitch“).
(4) PRESENCE control modies the amp’s
damping factor at high frequencies. This is
used to ne-tune the high-frequency range
of the speaker cabinet. The 6262 INFINIUM
(or 6262-212 INFINIUM) features individual
PRESENCE controls for the LEAD and CLEAN
channels.
(5) LEAD-VOLUME control lets you adjust the
volume level of the LEAD channel.
(6) CLEAN-VOLUME control that lets you adjust
the volume level of the CLEAN channel.
(7) TREBLE control adjusts the upper frequency
range. The 6262 INFINIUM (and 6262-212
INFINIUM) features separate TREBLE controls
for the LEAD and CLEAN channels.
(8) MID control adjusts the middle frequency
range. The 6262 INFINIUM (and 6262-212
INFINIUM) features separate MID controls for
the LEAD and CLEAN channels.
(9) BASS control adjusts the lower frequency
range. The 6262 INFINIUM (and 6262-212
INFINIUM) features separate BASS controls for
the LEAD and CLEAN channels.
(10) LEAD-GAIN control species the input level
of the LEAD channel. Turn the control to the
right to increase the preampliers distortion
and sustain.
(11) LEAD switch activates the LEAD channel
(switchglows red).
(12) CRUNCH switch activates the gain boost on
the CLEAN channel (switch glows yellow).
Thisway the CLEAN channel can be used as a
second LEAD channel.
(13) CLEAN-GAIN control species the input level
of the CLEAN channel. Turn the control to the
right to increase the preampliers distortion
and sustain.
(14) CLEAN switch activates the CLEAN channel
(switch glows green).
(15) BRIGHT switch activates an extra boost in
the high-frequency range (+6 dB at 2 kHz)
whichonly aects the CLEAN channel.
(16) LOW GAIN input is used for instruments
with an extremely high output level that
could distort the HIGH GAIN input (only 6260
INFINIUM and 6260-212 INFINIUM).
(17) HIGH GAIN input (equals 6262 INFINIUM and
6262-212 INFINIUM INPUT socket) is 6 dB
louder than the LOWGAIN input and is used
for most electric guitars.
Rear Panel
! Caution!
Hot! Risk of injury! During use, the valves get
very hot and high surface temperatures may be
reached at the rear of this unit. Avoid touching
the controls and connectors on the rear panel
during use.
(18) FX LOOP SEND output is used to connect a
shielded ¼" mono jack cable to the input of an
external eects unit.
(19) FX LOOP RETURN input is used to connect a
shielded ¼" mono jack cable to the output of
an external eects unit.
(20) PREAMP OUT SEND output takes the preamp
signal of the amp in order to feed the signal
to a second amplier and loudspeaker
combination, for example.
(21) FOOTSW(itch) 5-pin connector is provided
to connect to the supplied Bugera FSB104A
footswitch. Please be sure to connect the
cables before switching on the amplier. Refer
to “Footswitch“ for details.
(22) INFINIUM VALVE LIFE MONITORING
section shows correct biasing for each valve
separately. When an output valve requires
replacement, thevalve’s matching LED will
light permanently.
(23) IMPEDANCE switch lets you specify the
loudspeaker impedance. Always apply the
value that is identical to the impedance of the
used speaker cabinet.
(24) LOUDSPEAKER parallel outputs
" monojacks) are used to connect the
speaker cabinet(s). Theminimum impedance
is 4 Ohms.

Step 2: Controls
!
Always use loudspeaker cables for connection
between the amplifier and the loudspeaker.
Never use other types of cable such as
instrument cable and microphone cable.
!
When one of the front panel lights starts
flashing regularly, this is to indicate the amp
cannot work due to too many tube issues. In this
case we recommend replacing the faulty power
amp tubes immediately.
! Attention!
To avoid damage to your amp, never use the
Bugera valve amplifier without a loudspeaker
connected!

WARNING: ONLY REPLACE THE FUSE WHEN THE
MAINS CABLE HAS BEEN DISCONNECTED! If the
fuse is blown, it needs to be replaced with a fuse
of the same kind by all means. Otherwise, the
unit could seriously be damaged, in which case
the warranty is void.
(25) FUSE is found in the fuse holder.
(26) IEC connector is used to connect the mains
cable that has the appropriate voltage ratings
for your country (included).
(27) SERIAL NUMBER of the amplier.
Footswitch
(28) DIN cable (5-pin) to connect Footswitch to
the FOOTSW connector on back panel of the
Bugera amplier.
(29) CLEAN switch activates the CLEAN/CRUNCH
channel. Its LED illuminates when the channel
is active.
(30) LEAD switch activates the LEAD channel. Its
LED illuminates when the channel is active.
(31) REVERB switch activates the REVERB eect.
ItsLED illuminates when the eect is active.
(32) FX LOOP switch activates the FX LOOP
function. Its LED illuminates when the FX
LOOP is active.
