If the battery pack fails, Hibernation saves your work to a hibernation file and shuts down the tablet PC. HP recommends that if you pause your work when the power supply is uncertain, you do one of the following: ■ Initiate Hibernation.

The battery pack can discharge whether or not you are using the tablet PC, but will discharge faster while the tablet PC is in use.

Conserving Power As You Work To conserve power as you use the tablet PC: ■ Turn off wireless and local area network (LAN) connections and exit modem applications when you are not using them.
