BTI Door Installation The installation of the BTI training door is straightforward and most likely selfexplanatory by visual examination. Caution: Through our physical testing of actual doors during the development of this product, forces in excess of 3000 lbs. have been seen during a breach. Therefore it is advisable to anchor or mount your product accordingly. Typical house construction methods are not adequate for the numerous breaches for which this product has been designed.
Thank you for your purchase and use of the BTI Breaching Door system. This innovative and patented training device provides realistic training scenarios that are discussed on the following pages. The BTI Strip/Lock Explosive Breaching Door is designed to promote realism in training. The door is not designed or intended to train explosive personnel on the sizing or design of breaching charges.

Warranty Your new BTI Strip/Lock Explosive door includes a One Year Warranty against manufacturing deflects. Its useful life is solely a function of the type and quantity of charges utilized. Replacement Parts Although we don’t anticipate any items that would need replacing other than the skin of the door, please contact us to discuss these items.
Strip/Lock Explosive Door Operation Your new breaching door has been designed to simulate an inwardly opening door for forced entry training utilizing Explosive Pushing Charges. This door may be mounted in a structure such as a training or live fire facility, or may be utilized with the optional freestanding kit. Pins. With the purchase of your BTI training door, you received a quantity of green explosive breaching pins.
Once the door has been breached, the broken pins may not fall out or may partially fall out. A screw driver, or similar tool may be used (as shown) to remove the spent pins from the opposite direction of installation. Spent pins may be extracted from the insertion direction utilizing a screw driver or similar tool as shown on the following page.
Explosives The BTI Strip/Lock Explosive door is designed to function with “pushing type” charges only. The use of shape and cutting type charges will only damage the door and increase the risk for injury. The door is designed to operate with typical operational weight “PUSHING TYPE” charges only. The use of excessive charges will only lessen the life of the door and increase the chance of injury.
Explosive Placement Placement of the pushing charge is on the reinforced plate on the front of the door. The charge should be attached to the door utilizing double-sided tape, breachers paste or similar method. Water bags are commonly placed over the charge to enhance the pushing effect. Care should be exercised as to not allow the charge to overlap on to the doorframe or associated structure. This will only apply meaningless forces into the doorframe. Over time this will shorten the life of the product.

The use of substitute pins or panels will result in loss of warranty. End Use License Agreement BTI Breaching Doors are manufactured using a patented socket or panel system installed in the frame and door. It should be specifically noted that the Purchaser must use the BTI patented engineered pins or panels when breaching the door. Any use of a substitute product is strictly prohibited and would constitute a violation of BTI policy and thereby be in default of this Licensing Agreement notification.
