Safety EN 2.2.2 Safety instructions – cooktop extractor installation DANGER! Risk of poisoning caused by combustion gases! When the cooktop extractor is used in exhaust mode, it draws in air from the room it is installed in and from neighbouring rooms. Without sufficient air, there will be a drop in air pressure. Toxic gases could be drawn out of the chimney or extraction ducting on a fireplace that depends on the room air and back into the room. XX Make sure that there is always a sufficient air supply.

Installation 4.8 Assembling the extraction system INFO Cooktop extractor CKA2 is delivered as individual parts which must be assembled prior to or during installation. INFO The individual components must be assembled according to the installation option. INFO 4.8.1 Assembling cooktop extractor CKA2 There are two different models of cooktop extractor CKA2, depending on the planned airflow: 1 Fig. 4.

The specialist also assumes responsibility for the proper installation and commissioning.

This may only be done by an authorised member of the After Sales Service team. XX Switch off the main switch/automatic circuit breaker before connecting the cooktop.
Installation XX Shut off the gas supply if you determine that gas is escaping and ventilate the room. XX Seal the point from which the gas is leaking. XX Re-check all connections and the gas connection. XX Repeat the leak test until all connections are tight. XX Create a leak test record and give this to the user. XX Switch on the main switch/automatic circuit breaker. XX Start up the system (see the Operation section) XX Check all the functions of the cooktop extractor and cooktop are working correctly.
Installation EN 4.14.4 Gas configuration INFO The burner nozzles, gas type and pressure may only be changed by a certified engineer or BORA service technician. He/she also assumes responsibility for the proper gas installation and commissioning. INFO Gas characteristic curve A must not be used in the case of liquid gas (G30/31). INFO It is important that the gas type, gas pressure and characteristic curve are set correctly to ensure safe, failure-free operation of the gas cooktop.
Installation If all cooktops have been recognised correctly: XX Carry out the basic configuration. 4.16 Sealing the devices 4.15.1 Function test XX Carry out a thorough function test on all devices. Decommissioning, d isassembly and disposal EN 5 Decommissioning, disassembly and disposal XX Observe all safety and warning information (see the Safety section). XX Follow the enclosed manufacturer’s information. 5.1 Decommissioning Decommissioning is understood as final shutdown and disassembly. Following decommissioning, the device can either be installed into other units, sold on privately or disposed of.
