Gable Clamps can be used on any
gable with a pitch from 3/12 to 12/12.
1. Using thumbscrew, secure gable
clamp to frieze board at or near your
eye level (A).
2. Loosen wing nut to permit coursing
stem to hang freely and assume plumb or
nearly plumb position.
3. Slide coursing stem upward until
desired coursing number comes in line
with top of oblong hose (B). Tighten
wing nut.
4. Loosen thumb screw and place gable
clamp so that projection on coursing stem
rests on the last course of brick, making
sure clamp is snug against frieze board
(C).
5. Draw masons line on the the under-
side of plate and up and around pres-
sure trigger.
6. Tighten thumb screw and draw line
taut. Spring loaded pressure trigger will
automatically lock and hold line. It is
usually advisable to spread the first trow-
el of mortar under the frieze board
before raising the gable clamp
