Quick User Guide Your HBC100 at a glance Answer button Up button Speaker / charging socket Status indicator Down button GENERAL FUNCTIONS Before using your HBC100 please charge it first! Attach Charger Charge o To charge, use the provided charging cable connecting it either to a USB port or to the adaptor provided. o While charging, the status indicator would show red. o Upon fully charged, the status indicator would show blue.
Quick User Guide Power On Reset o Hold Answer for 2 seconds. o Press all 3 buttons together. Power Off o Hold Answer for 5 seconds. Volume Up Volume Down o Press Up once. o Press Down once. *NOTE: The volumes for mobile phone, music and intercom functions are controlled separately. MOBILE PHONE FUNCTIONS Pairing your HBC100 with your mobile phone Pairing o Hold Up and Down buttons together for 2 seconds. The status indicator would alternately blink blue and red.
Quick User Guide Answer Incoming Call Last Number Redial o Use voice pickup, say ‘hello’ or ‘pickup’. OR o Manually press Answer button once. o Hold Answer and Up button for 2 second. Reject/ End Incoming Call o Hold Answer button for 2 seconds. 3 Way Calling Voice Dial o To swap between 2 concurrent calls, press the Answer button once. o Hold Answer and Down button for 2 second. MUSIC STREAMING FUNCTIONS *NOTE: For music dongles you would need to pair the music dongle before using it with HBC100.

INTERCOM FUNCTIONS Pairing your HBC100 to another HBC100 Helmet 1 (Master Unit) Helmet 2 (Secondary Unit) Pairing (Needs to be done once) o The helmet communicator needs to be switched off before performing the following steps: Press Answer and Down buttons for 5 seconds on helmet 1 & press Answer and Up buttons for 5 seconds on helmet 2.

Warnings and Safety Instructions - Prolonged exposure to loud sounds may lead to permanent hearing damage. - Do not attempt to place an outgoing call through the mobile phone while riding on the motorcycle at any point of time. - Please do not use the UCLEARTM helmet communicator in anyway that may distract you or hinder your judgment whilst on the move. Never ever compromise your safety and the safety of others.
Features The UCLEARTM helmet communicator has three main functions: to make mobile phone calls, to listen to music entertainment by wireless Bluetooth and for intercom talk. Mobile Phone Functions • Bluetooth phone audio capabilities, HFP & HSP Profile. • Voice activated call pick up. Music Streaming Functions • Bluetooth music streaming with hi-fi and stereo capabilities, A2DP Profile. • Bluetooth Audio/Video Remote Control capability, AVRCP profile.
Installation The UCLEARTM HBC100 helmet communicator package contains: o A UCLEARTM HBC100 helmet communicator control unit o A pair of hi-fi stereo headset with embedded microphones o Velcro for speakers o A clip bracket and anti slip rubber patch o A metal mounting bracket with double sided tape o An AC charger and USB charging cable o A user manual Install Speakers • Use the velcros to install the speakers into the ear cavity of the helmet. • The microphones MUST be placed facing out.
Installation Your UCLEARTM HBC100 helmet communicator package comes with 2 types of mounting bracket: a clip bracket and a metal mounting bracket. Use either of the brackets to install the HBC100 control unit onto your helmet. Install Clip Bracket • Position and fasten the clip bracket onto the helmet. • When in the correct position, the clip bracket should be firmly secured onto the helmet. • Use additional anti slip rubber patch provided if required.
Installation Install Metal Mounting Bracket • Identify a position on the helmet to adhere the Metal Mounting Bracket. • Peel off the double sided tape protective film. • Carefully place the Metal Mounting Bracket onto the position identified in step 1. (You may only do this step once) • Apply slight pressure onto the metal mounting bracket to ensure that the metal mounting bracket is firmly secured. Install Main Unit • Slide main unit onto the clip bracket.
General Operations Your UCLEARTM HBC100 helmet communicator is now setup and ready to go! Answer button Status indicator Up button Speaker / charging socket Down button The operations described here are applicable to all modes of operations. Power On • Hold the Answer button for 2 seconds to power on the helmet communicator. The status indicator will blink blue and a power up tone can be heard. Power Off • To switch off the helmet communicator, press and hold the Answer button for 5 seconds.
General Operations • When the battery level is low, the status indicator would flash red twice every 2 seconds while emitting a warning beep every minute. Charging the Unit • To charge the helmet communicator, connect the provided charging cable to the speaker/ charging socket. Upon charging, if the unit is on, system would automatically initiate power down. Volume Control • The volume control of the helmet communicator can be controlled using the Up and Down buttons.
Mobile Phone Operations different devices linked to the helmet communicator in order to experience the most out of the helmet communicator. To use the helmet communicator with your mobile phone for the first time, you must first connect them wirelessly by pairing. Pairing • To connect the helmet communicator to a mobile phone, hold the Up and Down buttons for 2 seconds. This puts the helmet communicator into paring mode. The status indicator would blink blue and red alternately.
Mobile Phone Operations Voice Call • To activate voice call, hold the Down and Answer buttons for 2 second. The accuracy of this function is dependent on the mobile phone. Last Number Redial • To redial the last number, hold the Up and Answer buttons for 2 second. The capability of this function is dependent on the mobile phone used. 3 way calling • Whilst on a call, if an incoming call comes in, you may answer the call by pressing the Answer button once.
Music Streaming Operations To use the helmet communicator with your music dongle you must connect them first wirelessly first by pairing. This step is only required for music streaming dongles. Pairing • To connect the helmet communicator to a music dongle, hold the Up and Down buttons for 2 seconds. This puts the helmet communicator into paring mode. The status indicator would blink blue and red alternately. • Next, put the music dongle to pairing mode.
Intercom Operations To use the intercom profile on the helmet communicator for the first time, you would need to first connect the two UCLEARTM helmet communicators wirelessly by pairing. Pairing • Pairing readies one UCLEARTM helmet communicator to search for the other UCLEARTM helmet communicator. This pairing process needs to be carried out only once.
