The Kobo eReader is one of the electronic mobile devices available in the market today that are
designed to make things easier for consumer’s convenience. It is an e-book reader or e-reader which is
developed specifically to read digital books and periodicals.
This article will show you how to connect the Kobo eReader to the wireless network.
QUICK TIP: Make sure you know the wireless settings of your router before connecting your device to
the network. To learn how to check the wireless settings of your router, click here.
Step 1:
Press the Home button.
Step 2:
Press the Menu button then select Settings.
Step 3:
Press the center of the navigation pad and select Wireless.
NOTE: If the setting under Wireless Status is Off, press the center of the navigation pad to turn it On.
The Kobo eReader will then scan the area for available wireless networks and display them in the list.
Known Network wireless network that the eReader has successfully connected to
before.
Unknown Network wireless network that the eReader has not connected to before.
NOTE: If you see a lock beside the wireless network name (SSID), then it’s secured and you will need
a password before you can gain access.
Step 4:
Select the wireless network you want to connect then press the center of the navigation pad.
NOTE: If the network you want to connect to is a Known Network, then the eReader will automatically
join that network. However, if the network is an Unknown Network, then follow the steps below:
Step 1:
Select Join Network and press the center of the navigation pad.
Step 2:
Enter the password using the virtual keyboard.
NOTE: To see the password as you enter it, select Show Password.
Step 3:
Select Join Network and press the center of the navigation pad.
Your Kobo eReader should now connect to the wireless network.
NOTE: If your eReader cannot connect to the network, it will return you to the password
prompt. Check if you have entered your password correctly and try re-joining the network by
selecting Join Network.
