The BE-900MHZCID cordless headset telephone with Caller ID incorporates 60 name and number Caller ID memories and also designed to provide the convenience of high quality portable telephone communication. The BE-900MHZCID telephone consists of a cordless remote keypad unit and a base unit. The base's space saving, upright design makes it ideal in areas where space is limited. The remote keypad allows the user to make or receive calls away from the base unit.

SELECTING A LOCATION Install the BE-900MHZCID base unit in a location that is near an AC power outlet and a modular telephone line jack. The base's location effects the phone's range. Try several locations to see which provides the best performance. Select a location that is away from, electrical machinery, electrical appliances, metal walls, filing cabinets, wireless intercoms, security alarms, and room monitors.
Figure 6 INSTALLATION THE BATTERY PACK Your BE-900MHZCID telephone comes with a rechargeable Metal Hydrogen 3.6V @600m Battery pack in the remote keypad unit. You must install and charge the battery pack for at Least 15 hours before you use it. Follow these steps to install the battery pack. Figure 7 1. Remove the battery compartment cover on the remote keypad. Push the top of the battery cover in the direction of the arrow. (See Figure 7) 2.
CONNECTING THE HEADSET Insert the mini stereo plug from the headset cord into the headphone jack on the right side of remote keypad. 1. Slip the headset cord under the strain relief clip located on the remote keypad.
OPERATION CHARGING THE BATTERY PACK Place the remote keypad unit into the top of the base unit. 1. The IN-USE/CHARGE indicator will light if the remote keypad is inserted in the base Unit. (See Figure 10) 2. If the IN-USE/CHARGE indicator does not light when the remote keypad is in the Base, check that the battery pack and AC adapter are correctly connected.
ADJUSTING THE HEADSET Put on the headset, and adjust the band until it rests with almost no pressure on your ear and the top of your head. (See Figures 12 and 13) 1. If the headset is too loose, remove it and gently push the headset band inward slightly to tighten it. If the headset is tight, gently pull the headset band out to loosen it. 2. The microphone boom can be swiveled to position the headset on either your right or left ear. 3. Use one hand to hold the headset in place.
SETTING THE TONE/PULSE SWITCH Set the TONE-PULSE switch located at the rear of the base unit for the type of service you have. If you are not sure of which type service you have, do the following test after charging the battery. (See Figure 4) 1. Set the TONE-PULSE switch to TONE position. 2. Remove the keypad from the base unit. Press the TALK/HANG UP button and listen for dial tone. 3. Press any dialing button other than 0. If dial tone stops, you have touch-tone service.
5. If there is severe interference, move closer to the base before you press any key. If interference is severe, the keypad might lose communication with the base and the call might be disconnected. This does not happen often, but if it does, return the keypad to the cradle for a few seconds. Important: Do not answer incoming calls until Caller ID information is observed in the LCD display.
USING THE FLASH BUTTON Press the FLASH button to get dial tone to make a new call without pressing TALK button. The flash button also allows you to conveniently access special telephone cojpany Features such as Call Waiting. (See Figure 1) USING TONE SERVICES ON A PULSE LINE Some special phone services, such as bank-by-phone, require tone signals. If you have pulse service, you can still use these special tone services. 1. Dial the service's main number. 2.
USING THE CALL WAITING FEATURE To utilize the full capabilities of the BE-90MHZCID Cordless Telephone, you must have Caller ID with name and number delivery as well as with name and number delivery as well as Call Waiting Deluxe(Call Waiting with Caller ID) service installed. The BE-900MHZCID Cordless Phone does not provide these features unless these services have been ordered from your local telephone company at a monthly charge.
REVIEWING CALLER ID INFORMATION When the NEW symbol is appeared on the display, you have received new incoming calls. Next to the NEW symbol is the total number of new calls. 1. Make sure that the telephone is not in use, Press the Review Up or Review Down Button to review the incoming stored calls. 2. You will see total new calls number and total calls number “NEW 03 TOTAL 08 ” 3.
1. Press the “ERASE’ button again for one second to confirm. 2. “ NO CALLS “ will appear in the LCD display confirming that there are no calls stored in memory. USING THE CALL BACK FEATURE The BE-900MHZCID can call back any telephone number in the LCD display when connected to a touch tone line. BE-900MHZCID has programmed to set “1” as the LDS(long distance) code when you use this unit in USA or Canada.
2. When the telephone company is unable to provide the caller’s name and number, “UNAVAILABLE” will be displayed on the LCD screen. CHAIN DIALING NUMBERS You can dial several telephone numbers stored in different memory locations during one phone call. This is useful when you must dial more than one number in memory to complete a call, such as frequent calls using an independent long distance service. 1.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE REPLACING THE BATTERY PACK Replace the remote keypad battery pack if it does not hold a charge for more than 2 hours after an overnight charge. 1. Replace the old battery pack with a new 3.6V @600mAh metal hydride battery pack. 2. The replacement battery pack must have a connector that fits the connector pins located in the remote keypad battery compartment. 3. An equivalent battery pack may be available at your local electronics store. 4.
The BE-900MHZCID has been designed to give years of trouble free service. To help insure its longevity, please read the following maintenance instructions: • • • • • Keep the BE-900MHZCID dry. If it gets wet, first unplug the AC adapter then wipe the unit dry immediately. Liquids can contain minerals that can corrode electronic circuits. Use and store the BE-900MHZCID only in normal temperature environments.

This warranty is applicable only to the original purchaser of the BE-900MHZCID , when accompanied by a sales receipt rating the date of purchase and name of the company from which it was purchased.
