WHERE TO USE: Properly prepared interior bare or stained
wood surfaces such as furniture, moldings, cabinets, trim,
doors and residential hardwood floors
CAUTION: Top coated surfaces may be slippery when wet.
SURFACE PREPARATION†
(The following steps are recommended for best results.)
• For renishing, remove all wax or cleaner build-up with a wax
stripper or degreaser prior to sanding.
• Sand all surfaces in the direction of the wood grain to desired
smoothness.
• DO NOT USE steel wool.
• Remove all dust from sanded surfaces and clean with tack cloth.
APPLICATION
• Do not shake or thin.
• Do not apply in direct sunlight or in temperatures below 55°F
(10°C) or above 90°F (32°C).
• Stir thoroughly prior to and during use.
• If wood stain color is desired, apply BEHR
®
Wood Stain. Follow all
label instructions.
• Using a high quality nylon/polyester bristle brush, dip
approximately an inch into the can, gently tapping it against the
inside to remove any excess.
• Apply a thin, even coat following the direction of the grain making
sure to maintain a wet edge.
• To minimize the brush marks and bubbles after application, tip off
the surface by holding the brush at a 45 degree angle and lightly
run the bristles over the entire length of the wood.
• Floor Application: use a synthetic pad applicator or bristle brush
and maintain a wet edge to avoid lap marks. For maximum
durability, 3 coats are required.
• Do not puddle, over-brush or overlap nishes. Sand lightly
between coats with ne sand paper. Remove all dust prior
to applying additional coats.
DRY TIME
• Dries to the touch in 1 hour. Sand or Recoat: 1 hour. After nal
coat, allow 12 - 24 hours before light use. Fully cured: 3 days
after nal coat.
DISPOSAL
• For disposal of empty containers and unused product, contact
your household refuse collection service.

TRACT IRRITATION.
Avoid contact with skin and eyes and avoid breathing vapors, spray mist
and sanding dust. Sanding, grinding or abrading may release sanding dust, which may be harmful
if inhaled and has been shown to cause lung damage or cancer with long term exposure. Do not
breathe dusts, vapor, or spray mist.
To avoid breathing in dust, vapors, and spray mist, open windows and doors or
use other means to ensure fresh air entry during application, drying, sanding, and/or abrading. If properly used, a respirator
(NIOSH approved with particulate pre-filter) may offer additional protection and should be used if adequate ventilation cannot be
provided; obtain professional advice before using. If you experience eye watering, headaches, or dizziness during application or
drying, increase fresh air or leave the area. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Wash thoroughly after handling. Close container
after each use.
FIRST AID: If you experience difficulty in breathing, leave the area to obtain fresh air. If continued difficulty is
experience, get medical assistance immediately. In case of eye contact, flush immediately with plenty of water for at least 20
minutes and get medical attention; for skin, wash thoroughly with soap and water. If swallowed, get medical attention immediately.
