About the product
BABI smart cushion is a universal sensing
device that fits all car baby seats, designed to
detect the presence of an infant sat in their
Baby Car Seat. BABI is a baby safety device that
first alerts the guardian via an APP that the
baby has been abandoned in a vehicle. The APP
will send an audible alert sound or phone ring,
whilst alerts visually by lighting up and flashing
the phone screen and a vibration alert. This
state of alarm will remain until the infant has
been removed from its baby car seat.
If the guardian does not respond to that alert
within a short time, then an Alarm message is
sent to a preset number of phone numbers of
parents, child minders, grandparents or friends.
The alarm message sent will inform others of
the abandonment event and gives them the
GPS Map co-ordinates of the event location.

Getting started with BABI
Remove the BABI Smart
cushion from the box
and place it on the
baby car seat. Feed
the baby car seat
safety belt buckle
through the slot in
the BABI smart cushion.
Make sure the BABI logo
on the smart cushion is
facing upwards. As is
shown In figure 1.

Product Setup and Registration
- Download the BABISIT Application from an App
store or relative play store depending if the phone
requires an iOS or Android application.
- Once the App is successfully uploaded to the
phone will display the screen shown below Fig 2.

-To register the device and infant press on
(Plus sign Icon) this will automatically
change the screen as shown in Figure 3.
- Now to insert a photo of the infant press
(Baby icon) and load an image either by
Selecting the camera and taking a picture of the
baby or upload a photograph from the gallery.
Once the image is inserted, then fill in the
Name of the infant next to the photo.
- Having registered the infant into the App the
next step is to connect the Phone App to the
BABI smart cushion.
- Ensure that the phone
is in close range to the
BABI smart cushion.
- Press the CONNECT bar
In Screen shown in Fig 3
Whilst firmly pressing
down on the center of
the Babi Smart Cushion.

- Once the associated users have scanned the
Master QR Code their phone numbers and
details will be listed under associated users
seen also in Figure 6.
- Operating the device on every journey when
the infant is not present in the Baby Car seat a
faded image of the infant will be seen on the
screen as shown in Figure 8.
- Once the infant is placed on the BABI smart
cushion in their Car Seat, the infants image will
change from a faded image to a clear full color
image indicating that the infant is present.

- The device in the BABI smart cushion will keep
in contact to the phone App monitoring the
presence of the infant. When the child is
removed from the seat and leaves the vehicle
normally then the device goes into sleep mode.
The device reactivates the next time an infant is
placed on the BABI smart cushion.
- When the infant is left unattended in the seat
and the guardian has walked away from the
vehicle an alarm message will be sent to his
phone. For example: ATTENTION JACK HAS
BEEN LEFT IN THE CAR SEAT. The phone will ring
the Alarm Tone and if selected the screen will
flash and the phone will vibrate. If after 1
minute the infant has not been removed from
the car seat then the App will automatically
send a push notification message to the other
registered associated users.
- The Alarm Message to the associated users
will read i.e.: JACK HAS BEEN ABANDONED at
GPS Co-ordinates 22.3213 N
and 113.9433 E.
- The associated user can

has taken place, contact
other users to decide the
course of rescue action.

- Figure 7 shows an example of the main QR Code.
This unique QR code needs to be scanned by all
other associated users to register, connect and
use with the Babi Smart Cushion. It also allows
them to receive the Emergency Alarm Messages.
Product Maintenance
- The outer cloth cover is water resistant, however
it is removable and washable, ideal conditions are
stated on the inner label.
- Unzip the cushion cover and take out the inner
part of the cushion, keep in a dry and clean place.
Do not tamper or disassemble any parts on the
inner part. The cover maybe washed at 30 C and
dried naturally. Once dried the inner part is re
inserted into the cover and zipped closed.
- The battery life is estimated to last around two
years. In 4 beep alerts are sounded on setup of in
process or when the infant is placed on to the
smart cushion. This is a warning that the battery
needs to be replaced. To change the battery of
the electronic device - Unzip and open the
cushion cover and take out the inner part. Slide
open the exposed black device box case battery
cover with and replace the battery. Slide back the
box battery cover. Reinsert the inner part into the
smart cushion cover and zip it closed.

How to use the product
- A single beep will sound, this indicates the
product is ready to use and the App has
connected to the BABI smart cushion. If 4 beep
are heard the internal BABI cushion battery is low
and must be replaced.
- When connected the image of the infant and
name will appear in the screen as shown in fig 5.
Note: One BABISIT phone App can monitor up to 4
different BABI smart cushions. To add more just
repeat the registration of the other devices and
infants as before.
- To complete the setup press the settings icon to
enable the phone vibration mode, flashing screen
mode and to select an Audio Alert Ring Tone.

-To setup other associated users that will either
also drive the infant in the same BABI smart
cushion OR other guardians that will be part of
the emergency Alarm network to receive any
abandonment messages, the unique QR code
on the master phone must be scanned.
-Now that the device and infant are registered
the QR Code can be found by pressing the
Connect Icon and selecting the show my QR
Code option as seen in Figure 6 below.

-The other associated users must have first
download the BABISIT App, then they can
press the connect icon and select SCAN USER
QCODE also shown in Figure 6, to automatically
register the device and infant to their phones.

Warranty
The product is guaranteed against any non-
conformity defect within normal operational
conditions of use. The warranty shall not therefore
apply in the case of damages caused by improper
use, wear or accidental damage events. (Note: The
battery is non-included in the warranty as it is a
consumable and is to be replaced as required.)
For the duration of warranty on conformity defects
please refer to the specific provisions of national
laws applicable in the country of purchase.
General warnings
Do not leave any packaging materials (plastic bags,
cardboard boxes, etc.) that can be hazardous to
the child. Before using the device, make sure that
is not damaged, otherwise contact the dealer and
do not use the device.
To prevent the risk of overheating, keep baby
cushion away from all external sources of heat.
Declaration of compliance
BABI Ltd declare that this BABI smart cushion product
complies with and conforms to all the necessary Eu
regulations and legislations. The product is CE and
FCC certified. Also includes EMC, RED and ROHS
compliant. The product can be used in all Eu
countries, USA, UAE, Asia, Oceania and Pacific
regions.

BABI Ltd, the manufacturer and product owner is a
registered company in Hong Kong. Declares that our
product design BABI Smart Cushion Product and its
related App BABISIT complies to the relevant criteria
laid out in the specifications as a result of Italian Law
Number 117 dated 1
