Product-specific or more detailed information is provided where the corresponding facts are stated. Safety equipment The removal, bridging or disabling of safety equipment, safety functions and monitoring systems is forbidden. Never remove e. g. covers, housings or any other safety guards.

Only attach or remove the print head when the device is switched off. After switching off the device, wait at least 3 minutes before removing the print head. Only plug in or remove the cutter plug when the device is switched off. Ignoring this instruction can result in a defect to the device electronics.

03/04 Rev. 3.00-01 USER + SERVICE MANUAL ALL DEVICES Safety Notes – Lay signal wiring and electric power cables in physically separate locations. – Lay wiring as close to metal surfaces (earth) as possible. – Twist outgoing and return conductors of unshielded wiring. – Only use shielded wiring for digital signals (data cables). Generously earth both shield ends. – Keep wiring lengths to a minimum. – Earth reserve cable and redundant strands at both ends (at least at one end).

Normal operation No particular operating dangers will arise if the devices are used correctly (proper use), and if they are installed, put into operation and operated properly.
