install of Avant Tiles!
Please read the instruction manual entirely before beginning the install.
If you do not believe you can do it yourself, please contact a licensed
contractor, carpenter, or professional installer.

INSTALL IDEASBEFORE INSTALLATION
Avant tiles can be installed over most
sound surfaces if they are clean, at,
smooth, dry and free of dust, wax, grease,
dirt, and soap.
Acceptable surfaces include:
• Existing Backsplash
• Smoothly primed/Painted Wall
• Metal
• Glass
• Wallpaper
• Sanded Wood Plank
Not recommended surfaces:
• Brick
• Stone
• Stucco
• Oiled Walls
• Cracked Wall
If installing on dry-wall, plywood, MDF
or particleboard, apply a primer rst and
wait to dry for 72 hours before installation.
On a newly painted surface, allow at least
21 days to dry completely before installing.
For latex, repainted, or textured walls,
follow these preparation instructions:
1. Sand the surfaces with sanding paper
2. Clean the wall with a damp cloth
3. Allow surfaces to completely dry (24
hours)
It’s recommended to lay out the entire
project on a at surface to ensure you
have enough tiles and your layout is right.
Be sure to account for wastage that may
be needed for cutouts, errors, and edges.
