To prevent fire or shock hazard, never expose uFOTO to rain or moisture. Never try to open uFOTO cabinet. The dangerous high voltages inside uFOTO may result in serious physical injury. Before turning the device on, make sure that all cables are correctly connected and the power cable is not damaged. If you encounter any damage, contact your dealer immediately.
Care & Cleaning • • • Follow the correct lifting techniques when positioning uFOTO. Grasp the edges when lifting or carrying uFOTO. Turn your uFOTO off and unplug the power cord before cleaning. Clean the surface with a lint-free, non-abrasive cloth. Stains may be removed with a cloth dampened with mild cleaner. Avoid using a cleaner containing alcohol or acetone. Use a cleaner intended for use with the LCD.

Connecting your uFOTO The illustrations below show devices that you can connect to your uFOTO. PC / Notebook SPLENDID MENU Camera (under mass storage mode)/ USB flash disk Memory card To connect you uFOTO: 1. Plug the uFOTO power adaptor to a power outlet. 2.a. Connect your digital camera (under mass storage mode) or USB flash disk to the uFOTO. SPLENDID 2.b. Insert your memory card to the card slot. 1-6 MENU 2.c. Connect your uFOTO to your PC or notebook as a mass storage or a sub-screen.
Chapter 2 Getting started This chapter guides you to use the functions of your uFOTO, including viewing photos, listening to MP3, displaying the calendar, and using the Sub-Display.

Press to turn on or off your uFOTO normally. safe ent Power button Installing the ASUS uFOTO Utility The ASUS uFOTO Utility contains two functions: data synchronization and sub-display.
uFOTO placement With a rotating support stand, you can conveniently position your uFOTO either vertically or horizontally on a stable and flat surface. Vertical placement Horizontal placement The display automatically rotates 90 degrees clockwise depending on your preferred orientation. Adjust the support stand: Rotate the support stand clockwise to adjust and support vertical or horizontal placement.
Screen menu uFOTO provides several visual and audio functions such as viewing photos, listening to mp3s, displaying digital calendar, and using . the Sub-Display. Setting your uFOTO Configure several basic settings from the Setting function. From the main menu, use or to select the Setting icon , and press the confirm button to enter.
Languages From the Setting menu, use and to select the Language item, then press to enter. Highlight your desired language from the list of supported languages, then press� to confirm the selection. Time and Date From Setting menu, use or to select the Time and Date item, then press to set the precise time and date for the Calendar display. To set the time: 1. From the main menu, go to Setting > Time and Date > Time to display the following screen. 2.
2. Use or to select the field (mm / dd / yyyy) and change the values. Press to confirm the setting. Brightness Enter the Brightness item to adjust the desired brightness. Setting the alarm 2-6 1. AI Light The AI Light feature smartly adjusts the brightness of the LCD screen accrording to the lighting in the surrounding environment. Light-in-Motion When enabled, the both sides of the LCD panel is lightened up in specific color.
Information Enter this item to view detailed information about your uFOTO , the status of the inserted memory card, and the current software version. Set Default Select Yes to restore to the factory default setting or No to maintain the current settings.
Viewing photos From uFOTO , you are able to easily display images stored in an SD/ MMC card, DF card, Memory Stick, xD card, a Digital Camera, a USB device, or My uFOTO Picture folder in your computer. Refer to the specification summary on page 2-24 for supported image file formats. Displaying images from different sources: @ 1. To display images from your personal memory card: Insert your memory card with pictures into the corresponding slot. 2. Select the image file(s) you want to display.
1. To display images from "My uFOTO Picture" folder in your computer (Sub-Display function): Connect the bundled USB cable from your computer to your uFOTO. 7 MP3 Menu Allows you to adjust the volume and playback mode for the currently playing MP3 file. Copying photos to your uFOTO You can copy your favorite photos from your memory card, USB device, PC, or Notebook to the uFOTO. Deleting photos from your uFOTO Deleting a single photo: 1. While browsing, highlight a photo, then press checkbox below the photo and press . to check the 2. 3. Select Delete, then press . Listening to MP3s Enjoy with your uFOTO! uFOTO can play music files from your memory card, USB device, or My uFOTO Music folder in your computer. From the main menu, use enter. and to select , and press to The uFOTO only supports files of .mp3 format. To play music from your personal memory card: 1. Insert your memory card with MP3 files into the corresponding slot. 2. Select the music file(s) you want to play. To play music from your USB device: 1.
While playing MP3, the following screen displays: Music length / Elapsed time Press then you can adjust the volume and playback mode for the currently playing MP3 file. Copying MP3 files to your uFOTO You can copy your favorite MP3 files from your memory card, USB device, PC, or Notebook to your uFOTO. Copying a single MP3 file: 1. While in the playlist screen, highlight an MP3 file, then press to check the checkbox below the file and press . 2. 3. Select Copy to, then press .
Deleting MP3 files from your uFOTO Deleting a single MP3 file: 1. While in the playlist screen, highlight an MP3 file, then press to check the checkbox below the file and press . 2. 3. Calendar From the main menu, use enter. or to select , then press Photos in slideshow mode to Time and date Calendar SlideShow While displaying the calendar, you can also view the photos in slideshow mode at the same time. From the Calendar screen, press , then follow the steps in Viewing photos to display photos. Configuring Calendar settings From the Calendar screen, press to configure several settings for photo display and music playback.
6 Reminiscence 7 A shortcut to the Reminiscence function. Refer to the next section Reminiscence for more details. Sub/Full Screen Mode 8 Allows you to display the calendar in Sub Screen or Full Screen. MP3 Menu Allows you to adjust the volume and playback mode for the currently playing MP3 file. Reminiscence The Reminiscence function allows you to search for a photo according to the date when the photo was taken. Use and values.
Software introduction To install the ASUS uFOTO Utility: 1. 2. Insert the support CD into the optical drive. Double-click the ASUS uFOTO Utility icon, then the follow the on-screen instructions to finish the installation. 3. Restart your computer after the installation. Data synchronization The synchronization function makes it a lot easier and faster to pass photos and MP3 files to your uFOTO. Before using this function, make sure that you have installed the ASUS uFOTO Utility. To synchronize data: 1. 2.
To start the Sub-Display utility: 1. Connect your uFOTO with your computer using the bundled USB cable. 2. Select Sub-Display, then press to enter. 3. Double-click Sub-Display on the computer desktop to start the ASUS Sub-Display Utility. To use the Sub-Display functions: When the utility is activated, the same display is shown both on your computer and on your uFOTO.
Duplication mode Make uFOTO your second display by selecting this mode. You will see the same movements simultaneously while editing a word, deleting a file, writing a sentence, etc. When you select the Duplication mode, the screen on your computer is duplicated to your uFOTO. . Hand-shaped cursor . Adjust the position of the screen by dragging the screen with the hand-shaped cursor. Selection mode Move the scroll bar in the preview screen to select the window you want to display on the uFOTO.
After selecting the window, check the checkbox on the down right side of the preview screen. Extension mode When enabling the extension mode, you can hide the current viewing window by dragging it ouside of the computer desktop window. Adjust the position of the window on your uFOTO by dragging the same screen with the hand-shaped cursor in the control panel. You can also extend part of the current viewing window to your uFOTO.
Advanced settings Click Advanced to adjust the settings including Image Adjustment and Display Setting.

Troubleshooting (FAQ) Problem uFOTO does not turn on The battery remaining indicator is incorrect I cannot launch the Sub-Display function Possible Solution • Check if the adapter is properly plugged. • Check if your uFOTO is fully charged. • The phenomenon occurs when you are using your uFOTO in an extremely hot or cold environment. • The displayed battery remaining differ from the current one. Fully discharge and then recharge the built-in battery to correct the display.
