Lesen Sie vor Inbetriebnahme die Anleitung sorgfältig durch. Stellen

Sie sicher, dass im Falle einer Weitergabe, eines Verleihs oder Verkaufs

die Anleitung an den Benutzer ausgehändigt wird. Seien Sie vorsichtig

bei Handhabung und Betrieb dieses Gerätes. Dieses Produkt ist aus-

schließlich für die professionelle Nutzung vorgesehen und nicht für den

Heimgebrauch.

AVVERTENZE DI SICUREZZA

• Betreiben Sie das Gerät nicht in hoher Umgebungstemperatur

• Betreiben und laden Sie die Lampe nicht bei Beschädigungen.

• Vermeiden Sie Stösse und Stürze, das kann zu Feuer oder

Explosionen führen.

• Lagern Sie den Akku nicht, wenn er vollständig entladen ist.

• Bitte nicht unbeaufsichtigt laden. Laden Sie den Akku sofort

nach Entladung wieder auf.

• Laden Sie alle Lampen vor dem Einlagern vollständig auf.

• Unvollständig geladene Akkus verlieren an Kapazität und

Haltbarkeit.

• Laden Sie die Akkus alle 6 Monate vollständig auf, wenn die

Lampen nicht verwendet werden.

• Der Akku darf nur durch ein Original Ersatzteil des Herstellers

(Astera) ersetzt werden.

• Empfohlen ist eine Ladung der Akkus bei einer Umgebungs-

temperatur zwischen 15°C und 35°C.

• Ricaricare tutte le lampade completamente prima di conser-

varle.

• Le batterie non completamente ricaricate perdono la loro capa-

cità e la loro durata utile.

• Ricaricare completamente le batterie ogni 6 mesi quando non

si usano le lampade.

• La batteria deve essere sostituita da un ricambio originale del

produttore (Astera).

• Si consiglia di ricaricare le batterie a una temperatura ambiente

compresa tra 15°C e 35°C. /

Avviso: in casi estremi, l‘uso non corretto o errato delle batterie normali e

ricaricabili può avere le seguenti conseguenze

• esplosione

• sviluppo d‘incendi

• generazione di calore e sviluppo di fumi e gas

EINFÜHRUNG / BESTIMMUNGSGEMÄSSER GEBRAUCH

Der PixelBrick von ASTERA ist ein LED-Strahler für den professionellen

Einsatz im Event- und Filmbereich. Der PixelBrick ist für die direkte oder

indirekte Beleuchtung von Objekten oder Szenerien konzipiert und mit

verschiedenem Zubehör können zahlreiche Formen und Cluster gebaut

werden. Dank des eingebauten Akkus ist er schnell aufgebaut und kann

auch an Stellen eingesetzt werden, an denen herkömmliche Leuchten

nicht ohne weiteres montiert werden können. Wie die ASTERA Tubes

verfügt auch der PB15 PixelBrick über die Titan LED Engine und bietet

hervorragende Farb- und Lichtwerte. Der PixelBrick erzeugt weißes oder

farbiges Licht und die Farbtemperatur kann auf viele Arten eingestellt

werden. Der PixelBrick kann mit der AsteraApp oder mit kabelgebun-

denem DMX oder drahtlosem CRMX gesteuert werden. Das Gerät kann

auch über das integrierte Display oder per Infrarot-Fernbedienung

gesteuert werden. Dank integriertem Bluetooth kann er als Bluetooth

Bridge (BTB) verwendet werden.

Der PixelBrick kann stehend oder hängend verwendet werden. Zu

diesem Zweck ist das Gerät mit Airline-Schienen ausgestattet, um das

entsprechende Montagezubehör anzubringen.

Der PB15 PixelBrick kann im Innen- und Außenbereich eingesetzt werden

und besitzt die Schutzart IP65.

Vermeiden Sie Erschütterungen und jegliche Gewaltanwendung bei der

Installation oder Inbetriebnahme des Gerätes.

Achten Sie bei der Wahl des Installationsortes darauf, dass das Gerät

nicht zu großer Hitze und Staub ausgesetzt wird.

Halten Sie das Gerät von direkter Sonneneinstrahlung (auch beim Trans-

port in geschlossenen Wägen) und Heizkörpern fern.

Verwenden Sie das Gerät nicht bei Gewitter mit angeschlossener Netzlei-

tung. Überspannung könnte das Gerät zerstören. Das Gerät bei Gewitter

vom Sttromnetz trennen (Netzstecker ziehen).

Achten Sie bei der Montage, beim Abbau und bei der Durchführung von

Servicearbeiten darauf, dass der Bereich unterhalb des Montageortes

abgesperrt ist.

Das Gerät ist immer mit einem geeigneten Sicherungsseil zu sichern.

Nehmen Sie das Gerät erst in Betrieb, nachdem Sie sich mit seinen Funk-

tionen vertraut gemacht haben.

Beachten Sie bitte, dass eigenmächtige Veränderungen an dem Gerät

aus Sicherheitsgründen verboten sind. Wird das Gerät anders verwendet,

als in dieser Bedienungsanleitung beschrieben, kann dies zu Schäden

am Produkt führen und der Garantieanspruch erlischt. Außerdem ist jede

andere Verwendung mit Gefahren, wie z. B. Kurzschluss, Brand, elektri-

schem Schlag, Abstürzen etc. verbunden.

Dieses Gerät ist nicht für den Hausgebrauch bestimmt und eignet sich

nicht für die feste Dauerinstallation.

Il PixelBrick di ASTERA è un faretto a LED per uso professionale nel

settore degli eventi e dei ﬁlm. Il PixelBrick è progettato per l‘illuminazione

diretta o indiretta di oggetti o scenari e con vari accessori si possono

costruire numerose forme e cluster. Grazie alla sua batteria integrata, può

essere installato rapidamente e in luoghi dove le luci tradizionali non pos-

sono essere montate facilmente. Come i tubi ASTERA, la PixelBrick ha il

Titan LED Engine e ore eccellenti valori di colore e luce. La PixelBrick

genera luce bianca o colorata e la temperatura di colore può essere

regolata in molti modi. PixelBrick può essere controllato con la AsteraApp

Rispettare la temperatura ambiente prescritta. Tenere il dispositivo lonta-

Durante un temporale, non utilizzare il dispositivo con l‘alimentatore col-

legato. Le sovratensioni potrebbero danneggiare il dispositivo. Durante

i temporali disconnettere tutti i poli del dispositivo dalla tensione di rete

(staccare la spina).

Durante l‘installazione, lo smontaggio e l‘esecuzione di interventi di

manutenzione si deve aver cura che l‘area sotto il luogo di installazione

sia bloccato.

Occorre proteggere sempre il dispositivo con una fune di sicurezza

adeguata.

Mettere in funzione il dispositivo solo dopo aver familiarizzato con le sue

funzioni.

Onde evitare danni durante il trasporto, trasportare il dispositivo in cas-

sette o borse di trasporto.

Si osservi che, per motivi di sicurezza, è vietato eseguire modiﬁche di

proprio pugno sul dispositivo. Se il dispositivo viene utilizzato diver-

samente da quanto descritto nel presente manuale d’uso, si rischia di

danneggiare il prodotto e di invalidare la garanzia. Inoltre, qualsiasi altro

uso è associato a pericoli quali cortocircuito, incendio, scosse elettriche,

cadute, ecc.

SAFETY INFORMATION

Before you operate this unit read the manual carefully. Always make

sure to include the manual if you pass/ rent/ sell the unit to another user.

Please use your own caution when operating.

This product is for professional use only. It is not for household use.

• Do not operate the unit in areas of high temperature conditions

or under direct sunlight. It will cause abnormal function or

damage the product.

• Always use a suitable safety wire when mounting the light

overhead.

• Connect the safety wire only to the intended safety mount.

• Always follow local safety requirements.

• Only authorized personal may service the battery.

• Do not place in ﬁre or heat.

• Do not use or charge the light if it is damaged.

• Avoid bumping or plunging, it may cause ﬁre or explosion.

• Never store the battery when fully drained. Always recharge

immediately when empty. Please do not charge unattended.

• Make sure to fully charge all units before storing them.

• Partially charged batteries will lose capacity.

• Fully recharge every 6 months if not used.

• The battery may only be replaced with an original spare part

from Astera.

• It is recommended to charge at a temperature between 15°C

and 35°C.

• Shields or lenses shall be changed if they have become

visibly damaged to such an extent that their effectiveness is

impaired, for example by cracks or deep scratches.

• The lamp shall be changed if it has become damaged or

thermally deformed.

Warning: In extreme cases, abuse or misuse of standard/rechargeable

batteries can lead to:

• Explosion

• Fire development

• Heat generation or smoke and gas development.

• Do not open the product housing.

• Do not apply power if the light is damaged.

• Do not submerge the light into any liquid.

• Do not replace the LED light source.

• Caution, risk of electric shock.

INTRODUCTION / INTENDED USE

The PixelBrick from ASTERA is a LED spotlight for professional use in the

event and ﬁlm business. The PixelBrick is designed for direct or indirect

illumination of objects or sceneries and with various accessories nume-

rous shapes and clusters can be built. Due to its built-in battery it can be

quickly set up at places where traditional lights cannot be mounted easi-

ly. Like the ASTERA Tubes, the PixelBrick has the Titan LED Engine and

oers excellent color and light values. The PixelBrick generates white or

colored light and the color temperature can be adjusted in many ways.

The PixelBrick can be controlled with the AsteraApp or with wired DMX

or wireless CRMX. The device can also be controlled by the integrated

display or by infrared remote control. Thanks to its built-in Bluetooth it

can be used as BluetoothBridge (BTB).

The PixelBrick can be used standing or hanging. For this purpose, the

device is equiped with four M5 threads on the back and has airline tracks

to attach the appropriate mounting accessories.

The PixelBrick can be used indoors and outdoors and has an IP65 rating.

Do not shake the device. Avoid brute force when installing or operating

the device.

When choosing the installation spot, please make sure that the device is

not exposed to extreme heat or dust. Avoid direct sunlight for a longer

period of time.

The ambient temperature must be set. Keep away from direct insulation

(particularly in cars) and heaters.

Never use the device during thunderstorms connected to the power

mains. Over voltage could destroy the device. Always disconnect the

device during thunderstorms.

Make sure that the area below the installation place is blocked when

rigging, derigging or servicing the ﬁxture.

Always ﬁx the ﬁxture with an appropriate safety wire.

Operate the device only after having become familiarized with its func-

tions.

4. Connect BTB / BTB verbinden / Collegare BTB

To control your lights with the AsteraApp, ﬁrst connect a Bluetooth Bridge

(BTB). It forwards the AsteraApp signal to paired lights. You may use an

AsteraBox as BTB or choose a light with built-in BTB, like AX9, NYX Bulb,

PixelBrick, Titan Tube BTB, Helios Tube BTB.

Um Ihre Lampen mit der AsteraApp zu steuern, verbinden Sie zuerst

eine Bluetooth Bridge (BTB). Sie leitet das AsteraApp-Signal an alle ge-

paarten Lampen weiter. Sie können eine AsteraBox als BTB verwenden

8. Charging / Laden / Ricarica

While the power cable is connected, the display shows the charging sta-

tus. Charge immediately when the battery is empty. Do not store the unit

when the battery is empty. Charging time is approximately 5 hours.

The airline tracks at the sides of the PixelBrick housing have an additional

slide-in system for easy attachment of optionally available mounting

accessories. The PixelBrick can be mounted using TrackPins (AX-TP) and

Superclamps/ GripHeads. When hanging, secure with a safety wire and

eyebolt at the M5 threads on the backside. Make sure the light cannot drop

more than 20cm if primary mounting fails. Always provide one mounting

point per four PixelBricks.

When installing the accessories on the airline tracks, they must audibly

click into place, so that the red dot is no longer visible. If you want to

hang bigger clusters and shapes use several mounting points (max. four

units/ mounting point).
