The ARCHOS operating system (the system that runs your

device) is periodically updated to bring new features, improve-

ments and bug fixes. There are two main ways to update your

product’s software: directly on your ARCHOS if your device

can connect to a WiFi network (Menu >Settings>About

device>Firmware update), or with a computer (www.archos.

com/firmware).

ENGLISH DESCRIPTION OF THE DEVICE Hardware Reset: In the event that your ARCHOS freezes operation, you can force the device to shut down by holding the button for 10 seconds. 1 Charging indicator (when power cable connected) - light on: battery charging / blinking: battery charged 2 Mini-HDMI video output** 3 Headphones 4 5 Built-in microphone 6 Micro-USB port: to connect your ARCHOS to your computer, using the included USB cable to transfer files.

ENGLISH STARTING UP Charging the Battery Before using your ARCHOS for the first time, completely charge the battery: Connect the supplied USB cable to the ARCHOS and to the supplied USB power adapter. 1 Plug the USB power adapter into an outlet. The ARCHOS device will turn on and start charging. 2 UK EUR The charging indicator light is on when the battery is charging. It will blink when the battery is charged. IMPORTANT: Only charge your device with the USB power adapter.

ENGLISH www CONNECTING TO A WIFI NETWORK For this procedure to work, you need to be in a WiFi zone that will allow you to connect to it. Every time the ARCHOS is in range of a network that you have already configured once, it will attempt to make a connection. 1 To configure a new WiFi network, go on the Home screen, tap on the Settings icon. 2 In the Settings screen, select Wireless & networks. 3 4 5 If the WiFi is off, tap on the Wi-Fi line to turn it on. Then select Wi-Fi settings.

ENGLISH CONNECTING TO A 3G NETWORK Your ARCHOS device is equipped with a 3G stick slot on its back. It fits only with the Archos G9 3G stick. You can instantaneously connect to a 3G network quickly and easily. And you can connect to the web in just a few seconds. For this procedure to work, you need to be in a 3G zone. 1 Remove the Archos G9 3G stick cap, and push the unmarked side of the case towards the plug. 1 2 2 Insert the sim card into its slot. Make sure to insert it properly.

ENGLISH THE ARCHOS INTERFACE The extended Home screen: Slide your finger horizontally on the screen to navigate between the 5 panels of the extended Home screen. Main applications Video: Stop halfway through a video and pick up where you were watching just by tapping on the little “+” symbol, on the right of the file name. Music: Slide your finger (vertically or horizontally) on the album covers, on the left, to navigate more visually through your albums.

ENGLISH TOUCHSCREEN FUNCTIONING When touchscreen functioning is impaired, you can recalibrate your touchscreen. -- If you can access the Android interface 1. In the device homescreen, tap on Settings. 2. In the Settings screen, tap on Repair & Formatting at the bottom of the menu list. 3. In the Repair & Formatting screen, tap on Touchscreen Calibration. A message will tell you to put your ARCHOS down. 4. Put the device on a flat surface. 5. Tap on Calibrate the touchscreen.

You could damage the SIM card or the device as well as lose data. • The SIM card is fragile and should be subjected to any physical shock. It is also very sensitive to static electricity and noise interference from other devices.

Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna. Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver. Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected. Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.

Laad uw batterij niet langer dan een week op. Zo riskeert u de batterij te overladen en haar totale levensduur in te perken. Als het toestel gedurende een lange periode niet gebruikt wordt, zal de batterij langzaam ontladen en zal het toestel opnieuw moeten worden opgeladen alvorens het gebruikt kan worden. Haal de lader uit het stopcontact wanneer hij niet gebruikt wordt. Gebruik alleen een ARCHOS-batterij in het toestel.

Gooi nooit een batterij in het vuur. Raadpleeg de lokale regelgeving voor informatie over het recyclen van batterijen. Plaats uw ARCHOS-toestel nooit in of op een verwarmingsapparaat zoals een magnetron, een oven of een radiator. Wanneer de batterijen warm worden, bestaat er gevaar op ontploffing.
