Important Safety Instructions When using your Alertmaster AM-Rx2, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and persons including the following: 1. Read and understand all instructions. 2. Follow all warnings and instructions marked on the product. 3. Do not use this product near a bathtub, wash basin, kitchen sink or laundry tub, in a wet basement, near a swimming pool or anywhere else there is water. 4.

Important Safety Instructions ADDITIONAL SAFETY NOTES FOR CANADIAN USERS The following items are included as part of the CS-03 Requirements. The standard connecting arrangement for the equipment is CA11A. This product meets the applicable Industry Canada technical specifications. NOTICE: The Canadian Department of Communications label identifies certified equipment. This certification means that the equipment meets certain telecommunications network protective operational and safety requirements.
Important Safety Instructions The customer should be aware that compliance with the above conditions may not prevent degradation of service in some situations. Repairs to certified equipment should be made by an authorized Canadian maintenance facility designated by the supplier. Any repairs or alterations made by the user to this equipment, or equipment malfunctions, may give the telecommunications company cause to request the user disconnect the equipment.

Installation The Alertmaster AM-RX2 Remote Receiver is designed to work only with the Alertmaster AM-6000 and AM-100. The Alertmaster AM-6000 and AM-100 Notification Systems are designed to work with as many Alertmaster AM-RX2 Remote Receivers as desired, placed up to 80 feet away from the base unit. Do not put any of the Alertmaster components on or next to metal surfaces, computers, televisions, microwaves, or other areas with electronic 8 equipment that can cause interference to the wireless system.

Operations The console has six indicator lights for each of the alerting functions of the Alertmaster Notification System. Some functions require optional accessories to be purchased. Anytime the Alertmaster Remote Receiver is activated by any function(s), it will reset automatically after 24 seconds, or you can use the reset button on the console. Use the lamp button to turn lamp on or off. See Fig. 2.

Channel Setting The Alertmaster System uses radio signals to communicate between the console unit and all its accessories. For the accessories (Door Announcer, Baby Sound Monitor, and Audio Alarm Transmitter) to “talk” to the base unit, they all have to be on the same “channel”. A DIP Switch is used for channel selection. Your system and all the accessories have been preset in the factory to a standard channel. Under normal operating conditions, there is no 12 adjustment necessary.
Channel Setting setting on all components. 1. Unplug, and locate DIP switches on the underside of the AM-RX2. 2. Unplug and locate DIP switches on the under side of the AM-6000 console. 3. Use a pen to change the DIP switch position on both units. For example, change the position of switch #4 on both units. All settings need to be identical for the system to work. See Fig. 3. 4.

Regulatory Compliance Part 68 of FCC Rules Information This AM-100 Notification System complies with Part 68 of the FCC rules and the requirements adopted by the ACTA. On the bottom of this equipment is a label that contains, among other information, a product identifier in the format US:AAAEQ##TXXXX. If requested, this number must be provided to the telephone company.
Regulatory Compliance number of devices that may be connected to a line, as determined by the total RENs, contact the local telephone company. For products approved after July 23, 2001, the REN for this product is part of the product identifier that has the format US:AAAEQ##TXXXX. The digits represented by ## are the REN without a decimal point (e.g., 03 is a REN of 0.3). For earlier products, the REN is separately shown on the label.

Important In Case of Safety Difficulty Instructions If any problem should occur during operation of your Alertmaster AM-RX2 Remote Receiver, review the “Symptom and Remedy” list below. Refer to the “In Case of Difficulty” chapter in your Alertmaster AM-6000 Operating Instructions for other difficulties not listed here. Make sure no part of the Alertmaster Notification System is on or near metal surfaces or electronic equipment.
Warranty AMERIPHONE will repair or replace your Alertmaster AM-RX2 Remote Receiver for one year from date of purchase if the unit is defective in workmanship or material. Proof of purchase is required. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL AMERIPHONE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. You may also have other warranty rights which vary from state to state.
