Frameless Mirror Install Guide
There are two recommended methods for installing a frameless wall mirrorspecial clips or adhesive.
Select the method and hardware that will best carry the weight of the mirror you are hanging. It is
recommended to have additional assistance if a large mirror is being installed.
1. Mounting with Mirror Clips (Best for small frameless mirrors)
a. Tools Needed
i. Tape Measure, Pencil, Stud Finder, Level, Drill w/Bits, Mirror Clips w/Screws, Gloves
b. Prep the Wall
i. Measure and lightly mark the height, width, and corners of the mirror on the wall using
a tape measure and pencil. Using a level as a guide, draw a straight line where the top
and bottom of the mirror will be.
ii. Within the area you just marked, locate the wall studs with a stud finder. Lightly mark
the outside edges of each stud.
c. Attach Bottom Clips
i. Following along the line drawn that indicates the bottom of the mirror, use a pencil to
mark the placement for each bottom clip. Space evenly, preferably marking where there
is a wall stud. If placement of a bottom clip does not fall on a stud, use a wall anchor.
ii. Hold the bottom edge of a clip up to the first clip marking. The bottom edge of the clip
should be flush with the line drawn indicating the bottom of the mirror. Mark where the
screw hole falls above this line with a pencil. Drill a pilot hole in the center of this mark.
Repeat process for each clip marking.
iii. Attach mirror clips by sliding a screw through the clip. Place a clip over each pilot hole.
The clip’s ‘notch’ fits over the edge of the mirror and should face up. Screw into place.
Do not overtighten. Repeat the process for each bottom clip.
d. Attach Top Clips
i. Following along the line drawn that indicates the top of the mirror, use a pencil to mark
the placement for each top clip. These markings should align vertically with the
placement of the bottom clips.
ii. Hold the bottom edge of a clip up to the first clip marking. The bottom edge of the clip
should be flush with the line drawn indicating the top of the mirror. Mark where the
screw hole falls below this line with a pencil. Drill a pilot hole. Repeat for each top clip.
iii. Place a mirror clip over each pilot hole. Attach clips with screws, but only partially
tighten the screws to allow for side to side ‘notch’ movement for installing the mirror.
e. Install Frameless Mirror
i. Carefully set the mirror into the bottom clips. Center mirror side-to-side. Gently slide
top mirror clips over the edge of the mirror and tighten the screws. Do not overtighten.
*The number of bottom and top clips needed is dependent on the size of the mirror.
