Specifications
The AlphaRefuge™ 2400 Series system
power supply shall be Alpha
Communications® model PWRAPC or
PWRAPC112 (depending on number of
Remote Call Boxes), or approved equal.
The PWRAPC shall provide electrical power
for up to 36 of the RCB2400 series Refuge
Call Boxes (and an output power capacity
of 1000VA / 600W).
The PWRAPC112 shall provide electrical
power for up to 144 of the RCB2400 series
Refuge Call Boxes (and an output power
capacity of 1920VA / 1920W).
Both models shall be Underwriters
Laboratory Recognized (UL 1778).
Contractor shall observe all local and
national electrical and building codes.
PWRAPC Series Power Supply (AlphaRefuge™ 2400 Series)
The Alpha Communications® PWRAPC Series Power Supply is used with the AlphaRefuge™
2400 Series Area of Refuge system.
The model PWRAPC can provide power for up to 36 RCB2400 series Refuge Call Boxes, and
the model PWRAPC112 can provide power for up to 144 RCB2400 series Refuge Call
Boxes.
Only one (1) PWRAPC OR PWRAPC112 is needed per system, depending on the number of
RCB2400 series Refuge Call Boxes.
These power supplies contain the required batteries and battery charging circuitry to
maintain system functioning in the event of a power loss.
Note: Refuge Command Center with a single Refuge Call Box draws 7.21W. Each additional
Refuge Call Box draws an additional 4.46W
