Specifications
The advanced Serial to USB Adapter(s) shall be
Alpha Communications® AlphaEntry™ CA-
USBSERV10 or equivalent.
The CA-USBSERV10 shall be used in conjunction
with the AlphaEntry™, QwikBUS™ or other PC or
components when a 9-pin 'Din' serial connector
needs to be used with a USB connector on the
PC.
The CA-USBSERV10 shall be USB1.1,2.0,3.0,
EIA/TIA RS-232 compliant, and shall come with a
convenient 3 foot cable. The CA-
USBSERV10 shall be bus powered and shall be
true bidirectional, plug and play type.
Contractor shall observe all local and national
electrical and building codes.
CA-USBSERV10 Serial to USB Adapter
The Alpha Communications® CA-USBSERV10 AlphaEntry™ Serial to USB Adapters are
designed to be used with a variety of AlphaEntry™, QwikBUS™ and other hardware
components that have a 9-pin 'Din' serial connector and need to connect to a PC's
USB connector, when a serial connector is not available.
The CA-USBSERV10 device provides a simple and easy way to connect Universal
Serial Bus (USB) into Serial port interfaces. With the advantage of a USB port, users
have the capability to utilize the peripheral with serial port interface in an easy to
use environment such as plug and play & hot swap function(s). This adapter is
designed with a data transfer rate of up to 3Mbps.
