Architects' And Engineers' SpecificationsArchitects' And Engineers' Specifications
The adapter plate(s) shall be Alpha Communications® Model AP001
(or AP001B) or approved equal and shall be large enough to cover
the area occupied by the previous intercom unit. The adapter
plate shall be made of 22 gauge cold-rolled steel, painted in a
White epoxy coat paint finish. The adapter plate(s) shall be
punched to cover the existing back box, and for the apartment
intercom (or videointercom) station to be mounted onto the
adapter plate(s). If required, contractor shall paint the adapter
plate(s) to match the existing wall finish.
Important NoteImportant Note
Since these adapter plates can be used with a variety of stations
and devices, we cannot guarantee a color match between the
stations and these adapter plates!
AP001 and AP001B Adapter PlatesAP001 and AP001B Adapter Plates
The Alpha Communications ® AP001 and AP001B adapter plate s are
de signed specifically to cover existing over-sized apartment inte rcom
back boxes and othe r existing wall ope nings.
Once the adapter plate is affixe d to the w a ll, you can ins tall
your open-voice o r ha ndse t apartme nt intercom station or
surface mount video-inte rcom station dire ctly onto the adapter plate.
W e w ill gladly punch up to four (4) mounting holes (at no
additiona l cost), to enable you to ea sily mount the pla te over the
existing back box. Simply pro vide us w ith a clear sketch show ing the
mounting holes you ne ed. If yo u choose , mounting holes can be easily
drilled right on the job-site. The mode l AP001 feature s a large (cente r)
hole for w ire access and six (6) pre-punched holes for mounting
common apt. intercom stations a nd handsets.
Ins talla tion is quick, ea sy, attra ctive and eliminate s the ne ed
for plastering a nd painting over the existing hole.
Mode l AP001B is the same as the AP001, e xce pt there are
no mounting holes on the front of the faceplate. This enables you
to punch or drill a ny special holes you may need, or to le ave
the faceplate to tally blank.
Custom-size d adapter plates are also a va ilable in aluminum, sta inless
steel, polished bra ss, or other painted finishes. Plea se send a de taile d

pro mpt quo tation.
