Operation Getting Started ENGLISH Before using the reader, it is necessary to first fully charge the battery pack as described in battery management section. Switch on / off instructions Press and release the “SCAN” button once to turn the reader on. At start-up, it will switch on the RED light and beep once. Note 1 - Once activated, the reader will stay on for 2 minutes by default and then shut down automatically emitting two beeps.
The best reading orientation is as following: ENGLISH When a tag is detected, the green led will flash once to indicate the good read and the tag number will be transmitted over Bluetooth® and USB link. Using Bluetooth interface The LPR has a built-in Bluetooth® to communicate with computers, smartphones and iPhone® / iPad®.
ENGLISH The reader emits a single beep when the Bluetooth connects and 3 beeps when it disconnects. Note 2 – When the reader is connected in slave mode, the reader stays on for 1 hour. Note 3 – When the reader is configured in Master mode, you can force it to Slave mode by keeping pressed the button for 15 seconds at start-up.
Connection to iPhone / iPad devices ENGLISH Make sure your reader is on and tap on LPR Type 1234 Paired2 Once paired to the iPhone, your reader will automatically switch into master mode to be able the reconnect to the iPhone automatically the next time.

Using USB interface The USB port allows the device to transmit and receive data via a USB connection to your personal computer ENGLISH 1. Before plugging your reader to your computer, first install the LPR PC Software available on your local Allflex website. This will pre-install the LPR USB driver on your computer necessary to connect your reader through USB. 2. Remove the protective cap covering the USB port and connect the reader to your computer using the USB cable.
ENGLISH Note 4 – Once the USB cable is connected, the reader is automatically powered on and it will remain activated until the cable is disconnected. Note 5 – The USB connection recharges your battery pack (refer to battery management section). Note 6 – Replace the protective cap on USB port to protect your reader against foreign contamination and water.
How to recharge the battery ENGLISH To charge the battery, simply plug the USB cable into the USB connector and connect it to the wall mount adapter3 provided with the reader. It will take approximately 3 hours to fully charge the battery pack. Note 7 - The batteries can be charged with a computer but the charge time will significantly increase Note 8 - The reader cannot read tags with depleted batteries. The other functions are fully active.
Please read and follow the handling instructions for the battery before use. Improper use of the battery may cause heat, fire, rupture, and damage or capacity deterioration of the battery. Utilisation Démarrage Avant d’utiliser votre lecteur, il est nécessaire de charger entièrement la batterie comme décrit dans la section gestion de la batterie. FRANÇAIS Instructions d’allumage / extinction Pressez puis relâchez le bouton de lecture pour allumer le lecteur. Une fois sous tension, la lumière rouge s’allume et le lecteur émet un bip. Note 1 – Sans action de l’utilisateur, le lecteur s’éteindra automatiquement après deux minutes en émettant deux bips.
La meilleure orientation pour la lecture est : FRANÇAIS Lorsqu’une boucle électronique est détectée, la lumière verte s’allume brièvement pour indiquer la lecture et le numéro d’identification est transmis par Bluetooth et USB. Utilisation de l’interface Bluetooth® Le LPR a un module Bluetooth intégré lui permettant de communiquer avec des ordinateurs, des smartphones et des iPhone® / iPad®.
Le lecteur émet un bip lorsque le lecteur se connecte en Bluetooth et 3 bips lorsqu’il se déconnecte. Note 2 – Lorsque le lecteur est connecté en mode esclave, il reste allumé pendant 1 heure. Utilisation de l’interface USB Le port USB permet au lecteur d’envoyer et recevoir des données via un câble USB vers un PC. FRANÇAIS 1. Avant de brancher le lecteur à l’ordinateur, installez d’abord le logiciel PC pour LPR disponible sur le site internet Allflex de votre zone géographique. Cela préinstallera sur votre ordinateur le pilote USB du lecteur LPR nécessaire pour connecter le lecteur via USB. 2.
FRANÇAIS Note 4 – Lorsque le lecteur est connecté en USB, il s’allume automatiquement et reste allumé jusqu’à la déconnexion du câble. Note 5 – La connexion USB recharge la batterie du lecteur (voir section Gestion de la batterie). Note 6 – Veillez à remettre le bouchon de protection USB en place pour protéger votre lecteur contre les poussières et l’eau.
Comment recharger la batterie Pour charger la batterie, branchez le câble USB dans le connecteur USB du lecteur et connectez l’autre extrémité à l‘adaptateur secteur3 fourni. Il faut approximativement 3 heures pour charger la batterie complètement. FRANÇAIS Note 7 - La batterie peut être chargée via le port USB d’un ordinateur mais le temps de charge est significativement allongé. Note 8 - Le lecteur ne peut pas lire de boucles électroniques lorsque la batterie est entièrement déchargée.
Précautions de manipulation de la batterie FRANÇAIS Merci de lire et de bien respecter les recommandations de manipulation de la batterie avant utilisation. Un usage inapproprié de la batterie pourrait provoquer un dégagement de chaleur, un incendie, une fissure, des dégâts ou une détérioration de la puissance de la batterie. Attention LE REMPLACEMENT DE LA BATTERIE PAR UN TYPE INAPPROPRIE PEUT PROVOQUER UN DANGER D’EXPLOSION.
