Your new set has two features, one will provide a quick and effective means of solving common problem behaviors and reinforcing basic obedience commands your pet already knows, and the other help you train your dog to stop the excessive barking. How the PBT-I00 works The Training System comes with a Remote Trainer that is paired with the Pet Collar Unit. There are two modes for PBT-100, named remote training mode and bark control mode. In remote training mode, when push the STATIC CORRECTION KEY on the Remote Control Unit, a signal is sent to the Pet Collar Unit, which delivers static correction to your dog to assist you with shaping and modifying its behavior. When push the TONE KEY, a tone is sent to the Pet Collar Unit.

1. Safety Instructions WARNING: DO NOT USE ON AGGRESSIVE DOGS - This product is not for use on aggressive dogs. If you are not sure if this product is suitable for your dog, please consult a certified trainer or your veterinarian. RISK OF SKIN DAMAGE • Determine a proper fit of the Pet Collar Unit on your dog’s neck. If worn for too long or the fit is too tight, it may cause skin damage. • Check your dog’s neck area daily for signs of skin irritation.
2. Getting Started Insert Batteries on the Remote Trainer The Remote Trainer uses 1x LR2032-sized batteries. 2.1 Insert and Remove Battery on the Pet Collar Unit IMPORTANT Do not install the battery while the Pet Collar Unit is strapped to your dog. The Pet Collar Unit uses a replaceable battery (CR2450).
1. Turn the battery compartment cover to the unlock position as shown above to release and remove the cover. 2 Place the battery into the collar with positive pole (+) facing upwards the battery door 3 Close the battery compartment cover and turn it to the lock position as shown above to lock it. Battery Life The average battery life of collar unit is up to 3 months, depending on how often you use them. The Indicator LED lights up in red when battery is low.
2.2 Fit the Pet Collar Unit on your Dog’s Neck IMPORTANT For effective and reliable operation of the PBT-100, the Pet Collar Unit must be properly placed and fitted on your dog’s neck with suitable Metal Contacts that are long enough to touch the dog’s skin on the underside of its neck (not its hair). Make sure that the Pet Collar Unit is powered off. Press and hold the POWER KEY to power it off. 2. Have your dog stand in a balanced position on a flat even surface. 3.
2.3 Trim Away Excess Strap Length After you are satisfied with the fit of the Pet Collar Unit, you may want to trim away some of the excess nylon strap. 1. Mark the desired strap length with a pen. However, you may want to allow for growth especially when your dog is young or may grow a thicker winter coat. 2. Remove the Pet Collar Unit from your dog and trim away excess strap length. To seal the end of the strap, hold it about 1/4 inch away from a candle flame or lighter until the edge melts away.
2.4 Change Metal Contacts Included with the PBT-100 are Metal Contactor of three different length (short, medium and long) that deliver static correction to your dog. Choose the metal contactor of appropriate length for your dog’s hair coat. If your dog has dense coats or undercoats, use one of the longer Metal Contacts included with your PBT-100. Using your fingers twist the Metal Contacts counter anti-clockwise to loosen and remove them.
3. Using the PBT-100 There are two modes on PBT-100, called remote training mode and bark control mode. On the collar side, these mode is distinguished by the LED color when powered up. The orange power led mean remote training mode, and the green power led mean bark control mode. You can hold MODE key for 1 seconds to toggle between the two modes after power up. On the remote side, the two mode is indicated by icons (please refer page 5 Display Screen Icons).
General concepts The remote training mode, a mode allow you to send correction signal (static electric shock)at your will by remote unit on hand. The bark control mode, a mode that deliver correction signal just when your dog barks. It works automatically according the predefined training strategy (Details in page 4 How the PBTI00 works). This mode is target for controlling excessive dog barks. The Correction level, which decides the strength of electric shock for correction.
Note: The remote control is only valid when the collar is powered on within remote training mode or during the bark control mode setting time (see page 10). The maximum duration you can deliver static correction continuously is 30 seconds. It is not encouraged to continuously deliver correction signal, for it consume much more power. Since your dog is not sensitive enough to current correction level, select a higher correction level would be better.
3.3 Work on bark control mode Enter bark control mode Press and hold the POWER KEY for 1 seconds on the Collar Unit to power it on. The Indicator LED will lights up for 3 seconds. If current mode is not bark control mode (the color of power led is not green), hold MODE key for 1 seconds to enter bark control mode.
3.4 Low battery When collar unit battery is low, the flashing power indicator led becomes red. When remote unit battery is low, the BATTERY LOW IOCN would blink. 4. When Using the PBT-100 the First Few Times Dogs learn and adapt at different speeds. It may take several times for your dog to understand the purpose of the Pet Collar Unit. After a couple of days wearing the Pet Collar Unit, your dog will learn to relax and reduce its barking behavior.
• Check your dog's neck area for irritation and wash neck weekly. • Every effort has been made to ensure high standards of reliability of yourPBT-100. However, if something does go wrong, please do not try to repair it yourself - contact Customer Service for assistance.
7. Frequently Asked Questions Will the PBT-100 be effective on my dog? • The PBT-100 Training System is designed to be a convenient and effective training device on all healthy breeds and sizes. However, it should not be used on aggressive dogs. And the Bark Control System of PBT-100 is best used on dogs that bark excessively. Will the barking from another dog trigger the sensor on the PBT-100 bark control mode? • • No.
8. Troubleshooting When your dog does not seem to respond to the Static Correction • Make sure that the Pet Collar Unit is properly fitted on your dog. Loosely fitted collar will affect performance. For proper fit, the collar should be snug yet loose enough to allow two fingers to fit between the strap and your dog's neck. • Make sure that there is good skin contact where the Metal Contacts touch the neck area. If necessary, trim your dog’s hair to ensure good contact.
